I don't think that I have ever seen a 50-foot pattern laid out for a tournament. On that pattern, all you can do is what Mizuki and Manon eventually did -- point the ball (right to left) and try to keep your hand behind it. Your aim needs to be very good that day! There's no side-to-side forgiveness when there's no hook. But the good news is that your release doesn't have to be as precise because the ball isn't going to hook no matter what you do to it.
