How many others could play like that when 'hammered'?! Many famous musicians of that era 'indulged' before, during & after a concert - Hendrix, Joplin, Clapton to name a few PLUS such notables as Elvis, Ozzy, etc.

Gary Moore, SVR and Philip sayce is the best thing my ears have heard. There are too many of the blues but those three for me are the best.

Even though Hendrix is the GOAT to me, Gary is top ten for me. I do find it interesting whenever i see these guitar discussions most people mention the same guys(Jimi, Eric , Page SRV, EVH etc...) their so many amazing guitarists in so many other genres yet no one hardly mentions them. Ernie Isley, Eddie Hazel, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Roy Clark, Roy Buchanan, Danny Gatton....

@rickvalentine990 yes, Roy Buchanan, but a different dynamic and tone than Gary Moore, Roy had that ice cold telecaster tone, and yes he was a phenomenal player🥶 👍
