Australia is a racist country. To deny rhis favt is burying one's head in the sand. As people of color we must stand for our rights and vociferously stand up for our rights and fight for the underdog

I can't find how many stitches need to be cast on for the gauge swatch, maybe I missed it. Could someone tell me where to find it?

Racism against Asian Australians is more common recently. Thanks for talking about this on YT. A lot of representation in the media especially the news are of Asian foreigners or Chinese nationals with foreign accents which does not represent local Asian australians.

So cleaver! I have a knitted sweater I made approximately 40 years ago and the sleeves are very very long. Yarn has stretched so much I fold it over at least 3 times. Going to try this method, since elastic thread didn’t work. Thank you!

How do you decide how many stitches to cast on? Because the cast on when you make it a loop is bigger than the finished scrunchie size.

Hello! Thank you for offering up this pattern for free <3 I think maybe there’s an error in the medium size calculations? I have followed the instructions to a t and am left with only 56 stitches completed on my initial marker row instead of 60. There are a few moments where the number of stitches are the same for small and medium but not for large so maybe that’s where calculations went wrong? I would super appreciate a clarification as I’ve started the project and am really keen to get it going. Thank you!

On the tutorial she’s working on the M/L size and she did 10 stitches instead of the 8 per the instructions (probably a type error) and instead of 28 stitches for the back I did 30. Hope this helps.

I am sorry that you have to go through all these shit. I am blessed that I am an Asian who grew up in Asia. Recently I travelled to Australia for a couple months. I can always feel there's some kind of strange aura every time I talk to the locals (not sure if I was being subjective idk). Anyway, some moments of the trip made me a bit uncomfortable. Can't imagine how you have gone through all these ever since you were a kid. Thanks so much for sharing these with us. Sending virtual hug---> *hug *hug

It's not that complicated. The main differences are that instead of having one needle and always going back in the previous round to pick up your stitches, you have two needles and you always have the stitches on your needles. :)

@@marcosotherhalf8684 keep going with it. On this tutorial, ignore the long tail cast on. Just go for a simple cast on method. There is always a simple method you can use. Knitting is actually lot less complicated than it seems. I have taught myself and it has been a smooth journey. I’ve just started my first crochet sweater following a YT tutorial, feeling excited! Thanks for your encouragement 🙂
