Hello! Most video formats are supported when the appropriate DirectShow video codecs are installed. By default, ELM can play these files: .mov, .avi, .wmv, .mpeg, .mp4, .mp2, .mkv, .webm, .ogv and .ogg. There’s no video size and resolution limits. The audio track is played back on the default sound device. If not needed, you can remove the audio by using the transcode button. The recommended video format is MPEG4 in an avi file. For smaller files at the expense of a higher CPU usage, you can use H264 in an avi file. And for image files, use formats such as bmp, jpeg, gif (animated or not) and png.

Hello! If a system is working properly, then it shouldn't be an issue. However, systems don't always work properly - which is why the DMX USB Pro includes 1500V isolation to protect your computer. The Open DMX USB (the blue one), however, is designed to be the most basic and affordable device possible, so it doesn't include the isolation.

Hi Jimbo! Unfortunately, the S-play does not currently have the ability to trim recordings. However, it does have some nifty tools to help you get your recording just right. One of those is the ability to start and stop recordings using any of the S-Play's trigger methods, including OSC. Hope that helps a bit!

Hello! If you mean using EMU software as a VST within a DAW, then you'll need a DMX USB Pro. Otherwise it's going to be a question for the manufacturer of the VST in question and its requirements. Hope this helps!

Hi Jasper, depending on which software is in control between Lightkey and Ableton the best way would probably be to map control in ELM and then integrate control using the remote control of ELM using the DMX remote and Patching the ELM fixture in Lightkey. Alternatively, you can create your sequences in ELM and then use Midi control to trigger your content from Ableton. Hi, the Pixel dots have mounting holes on the sides of them and in this video they are screwed into the board.
