This is a great song! Funny thing though, Norman Greenbaum is Jewish. Love this song....one of my favorites of the era.

He is a top 3 Lyricist in Country Music. Is it me or does Ronnie Milsap sound like him (younger Milsap). This song takes me back and everyone I loved is still alive and it’s a Sunday all stores closed. Eating a lot luck at Grandmas house after Church and there I was trying to tune in 99.5 KPLX and the antenna in the radio is broken so I’m holding it together. God good times.

so u was black sheep of ya family mr jacks, tell me bout it m8, as one of 5 brothers i was too, i never was the favourite, certain others was, its a thing that parents are never spose to say/talk bout, who is they,re fav child but nearly every parent has theirs, its sad & just wrong but it happens in virtually all families, i just hope if there is (which i dont fink there is) a afterlife in heaven they can live with they,re mems of how they treated & looked upon they,re kids

Mr. Graham was on in our house every time he was on TV. My Mom loved listening to him & as I grew up so did I. Those were the good years for me. What a beautiful song !!!❤🙏

A lot of people make fun of Slim, but you cannot deny,he could really sing. I guess those commercials advertising his albums backin the day made folks laugh,but it is undeniable, he was good.
