I'm trying to teach someone to juggle 3 balls. How much practice does it take to be able to do it well for middle-aged people and senior citizens, maybe smoothly and consistently for 15 seconds? I think it took me 1-2 weeks, but I was 12.
@JugglingGym
@JugglingGym 3 ай бұрын
It's going to vary a lot depending on the person and their background. For example, people who have played ball sports (e.g., basketball, tennis) tend to already have better hand-eye coordination so they learn faster. In general, for middle-aged/older people, I'd guess it takes a month or so to learn. Make sure they practice 10-15 minutes every day rather than an hour once a week. Have fun!

PSA: I made a small mistake at 0:32. I showed the 2 ball cross where I throw from the inside. However, for the Rainbow Cross, you need to practice throwing 2 balls from the outside to the inside, in an over-the-top throw. Hopefully that makes sense! I normally add time codes to my tutorials because that allows people to come back to what they’ve already watched. However, with list videos, I don’t add them because I want people to watch the whole thing. The KZbin algorithm is incredibly temperamental and if people only watch a snippet of the video, then it doesn’t send it out to as many people

The shower switch pattern is also called the baby juggle pattern. A number of jugglers have used their children as the passed across item. Ivan Pecel has done a hilarious bit with a fairly large child volunteer from the audience.

@@JugglingGym I have done it with a bottle of beer. It got a bit sloppy when I tried to take a quick sip. I had beer foaming up out of the bottle as well as out of my mouth. I probably should have waited until the beer had been opened for a while and lost some of the fizz.
