Like the "minimalist" builds here....commonly available materials in a basic tie that can be tweaked in a few ways. Sometimes we get a bit too carried away and do the fish really care? Thanks for sharing.

Yup most important part is catching fish. Thanks for the kind words. Have fun catching fish

I've never seen that, where you double the feather over the thread like that. I'll be using it.

It’s a good way to really make sure the feather is secure. Good luck on the vice

I need to get some craft fur. What I have seen in stores is a lot shorter than yours. Where are you getting it?
@SOLTackle2 ай бұрын
Hareline Dubbin sells the great stuff. Most fly fishing shops that sell tying materials will sell it. The stuff from craft stores is short. I’m sure you can also buy it on Amazon but I prefer to buy from small businesses.

Love that technique of twisting the polar chenille with a hackle. Gives a great look. Just tied one with some white arctic fox in a dubbing loop twisted with a similar product as the Polar Chenille. Came out great! Great video and very good inspiration. Rock on!

I am new to Fly tying, so thank you for this. on a technical note, looking at half a face is weird, either all or none, maybe a higher camera position aiming down. NOT my expertise, but seems strange looking at half a face.
