Sorry but you misunderstand. Yes, Jesus paid it all as the Lamb of God. This is not a covering of our sin but a cleansing command for, as the scripture says, forever! As far as the Jews are concerned they believe this is necessary to rebuild.

This is the "last day" (day temple was destroyed) Christ spoke about in John 6, the last day of the old covenant, fulfilling Sukkot, the "last trumpet" blown. Daniel 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. God makes covenants with mankind. The old covenant was about to vanish away (the last days are defined as the last days of the old covenant), Hebrews 8:13. The new covenant, Jeremiah 31:31-34, quoted in Hebrews 8:10 & 10:16 is now installed upon the destruction of the temple. 2 Peter 3 talks about these elements being destroyed, the elements of the old covenant/law (Galatians 4), which administered death, the last enemy to be destroyed is death, the law (2 Corinthians 3:6-10). Christ commissioned the apostles/disciples to take the gospel to the ends of the known world, this took 40 years (confirming the covenant for one week). This task was accomplished, Romans 10:18, 16:26 & Colossians 1:23. The new heavens and earth prophesied in Isaiah 65 & 66 can now come, the new Jerusalem. John paints a picture of this city showing the perfection of the kingdom, Revelation 21. Christ prayed "thy kingdom come", it did. Ephesians 2 elaborates on what faith is built upon, same thing John paints in Revelation 21. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. Until you are told: The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass. Now Christ tells everyone in Revelation that he is coming quickly, over and over, he did. There is a reason no one has seen or heard from a prophet of God for nearly 2,000 years. Christ fulfilled the law, per his own testimony. Every New Testament writer tells their immediate audience that Christ was coming in their lifetime, he did. We are living in the everlasting kingdom, that has no end. The new Jerusalem prophesied by Isaiah is a today reality, abundant life is a today reality if you live in this kingdom, where the gates are never shut. Yes, outside this heavenly kingdom is sin, per the scriptures, and those people are not allowed to enter. Yes it is tragic. I’m very familiar with this church over the years and had dear friends who went there but finally left as the leadership is lukewarm when it comes to Israel. The Lord has a place for you guys and He will direct you as you are clearly in the wilderness!

Sorry but your statement is not correct. We have mountains of historical evidence from writers such as Josephes and many others as well as the fact that the followers of Jesus suffered martyrdom at the hands of the Romans because they could not renounce what they had seen.
