I wish that Bul USA MADE IT INTO THE 21ST century technology wise . They don’t have the ability to take back orders you have to play musical chairs with their web site to see when they periodically release a few for sale. I think the make a nice pistol I would love to buy. I’ve been watching their site for 2 months with no luck

@@TheRagingBull Yes! Originally the EDC came in stock and I pondered for a few days about it. Then, Aug 1st the TAC 4.25 non ported model came available and I ordered that as it was my preferred choice as something I can have fun with and train at classes, and also carry in the fall and winter.

The bag smell like death😂. Is true the oil on the pistol has a strong bad smell that spreads when you open it. I buy the Tac Pro 5” and have to clean it and the bag, is really bad 🤢.

@@wisesage3289 The gun is pretty loud - but mostly for your poor friends shooting with you and the SO. You don’t much notice it while shooting yourself. I always double up my ear pro - especially indoors. Laser Lite foam plugs and HL Bolts with gel cups.

No significant benefits to have the ported barrel, other than having it being slightly flatter shooting and louder to be sure, with slight concussive attributes and constant cleaning of the exterior barrel which can be difficult. I've already sold the 5" Pro for the non-ported 5" version, it just wasn't for me.

Took delivery of my 4.25 about 3 weeks ago after I was notified they were in stock..shipped out the next day and was in my hand at FFL 2 days later. But I live in south florida and they ship from Miami so that helps obviously

I only own and have shot the ported versions but the fit and finish is really top notch so I assume it would be just as fantastic. I get some people probably don’t want the ports, or if I wanted to shoot Limited Optics I would get the standard Tac non ported version.

Remember IDPA let's you reload with the 11th round in the pipe nowadays. You missed a couple opportunities to avoid a standing reload ;) nice shooting!

Always room for improvement ! However if there are surprise target or you’re in the open you have to go to slide lock before you can reload regardless of engagement.

They’ve functioned perfectly through range and the one IDPA match so far. I rotated all 8 - and while not a ton of rounds through each they’ve had no issues. Getting the 20th round in them is a little tight. They also stick out ever so slightly more than the gen1 19’s. I wonder if they might not fit in the box given how tight the previous 19s were.

@@TheRagingBull both mags that came with the 2023 edc started rattling after their first cycle. Sounds like 2024 has improvements across the board. The loctite has set, ready to see if these live up to the hype.

I really want the tac pro 4.25 to carry. A guy on KZbin "Nightwood guns" did a review and some slow motion vid. It was flat and had a practically instantaneous return to zero. It rises a tad and just falls back to zero. No bounce downward at all. I'm jealous guy 😂

@keithrange4457 make sure you watch Brett's video on ports vs comps. The ported guns throw crazy amounts of spall that can blind you in an close in fight for the gun scenario. He messed himself up, testing it on camera. Ports should be avoided for carry. Comps seem okay by contrast. That and the accuracy issues ports tend to develop. They can really cause the projectile to fly off course at moderate ranges. Between 10-15 yards they're already missing wide. By 25 yards it's worrisome and difficult to hold head sized groups. QVO Tactical has a video showing the problem. Just make sure you understand the pros and cons before commiting to a ported Defensive use gun. As he mentions, learning proper gip technique goes alot further towards controlling recoil than the ports or comps do.

Yep sure did man, They just shipped it today! I'm excited as hell, I've asked a couple of my friends who have the Gen 1 and it took them roughly 10 days of "waiting processing" for it to ship. I did fill out the forms asap, so the FFL was Def not a issue.

I put about 150 rounds through the Gen2 5” and will be shooting IDPA match with it which I’m excited about. The 4.25 I put about 120 rounds through it. The new 5” shoots flatter than the Gen1. Trigger feels just as nice. Really top notch out the box. Measured around 2.25-2.3. The 5” has noticeably flatter feeling than the 4.25 to me - even with the light on the 4.25. With that said the 4.25” is amazingly flat. If I could only have 1 I would get the Gen2 5” but I LOVE the 4.25 and it’s going to make my carry rotation after a few hundred more rounds and I find a holster for it that can use the PIDhc The 20 round mags are very stiff and full at 20 rounds. They also stick out a little more than the 19s even though the baseplate is smaller. I’m wondering if they’ll fit in the IDPA Box. Couldn’t go wrong either way and slightly depends on your use case. Competition / range only I’d get the 5” - if it was for winter carry or something similar I’d get the 4.25.

I missed out out the ported new 4.25 I have the regular 2024 4.25 on the way first thing I’m doing is v8 porting it. Luckily my FFL does porting. I have the Axe Tomahawk with the ports will have machinist do holes the same size as them. I’m assuming they are same size ports as on Tac lineup.

@@TheRagingBull I’m debating if I’m going to port it before I shoot it lol. I have a Prodigy I got for 1100 new getting work done de-mim tuning trigger job etc will probably v8 port that too. I think the Bul 4.25 will be better then prodigy even with all the work it’s getting done to it😂.

Just something to consider, because I was going to do the same thing... Getting aftermarket ports will void the Bul Armory warranty, so if something else goes wrong on the firearm, you will be out of luck on a warranty claim.

Thanks friend. Appreciate the compliment. 750 rounds so far. Zero problems. This weapon is phenomenal, my favorite pistol by far at this point. I would trust it with my life. The fit and finish is tier 1. Was flawless this IDPA match. Next IDPA match for it this week. I’ve seen a video where a guy kept having battery and “trigger” issues and I can’t help but think it could be somewhat operator induced. Either way I think these BUL’s compete with the higher level of 2011’s. Definitely punch above their weight class.

Super impressed. Went to the range 2 days in a row just to shoot it again. Nicest fit and finish of any pistol I own. Trigger is around 2.75lbs and is phenomenal. Ordered two holsters last night - one for IDPA and another for carry. We will see how it goes as an EDC but I like it so much I want the option. Wish I’d bought this before. EDIT: one potential negative is that the finish does not seem as durable, I expect it will show wear marks quicker than some but it’s not a safe queen. Will potentially custom Cerakote it if down the road if necessary but no time soon.

I went with Tier1 Concealed - I currently EDC a p365xl Spec Comp in an Agis Elite so I ordered the same for the BUL. I really love the setup for my p365xl so they got some more of my business. I also ordered the Spara holster for IDPA. Will probably get a competition holster for USPSA / IDPA eventually but for now this will work just fine.

@@TheRagingBull I love Tier 1 I have walther pdp pro sd compact with Axis Elite and my sig p320 with Agis Elite and I love both but I want to add streamlight tlr 9 to the Bul for more “home defense “ / conceal with jacket or big clothes and they don’t offer lightbearing holster for the Bul Im looking in to QVO tactical, it seems like they have one that It might work with the setup I want but if doesn’t work I will sacrifice my streamlight and go with Tier 1

Fast forward to today I ended up buying a 2018 mustang gt pp1 in manual it was great kept it only for 9 months though I just traded it for a 2015 C7 Z51 Corvette A8 last week so far loving it and think I made the correct choice for me after all the manuals I had auto is a nice change. Came by your video again when i was searching for A8 Vs M7 hope you are doing well =).

Sounds great man! I currently have a borla X pipe and stock NPP with fuse 42 pulled. I'd really like to bump up the volume a good amount (within reason for streets). It seems like ARH midlength or longtube headers might do this for me -- If you had to guess, how much louder did this header make your car under WOT, normal driving, etc? Thanks!

Andrew ! Sorry for the late response. Hopefully you’ve pulled the trigger on this setup. It’s a billion times better for sound, but it doesn’t drone at highway and it won’t make the neighbors hate you. Great mix of the crackle and aggression you want at lower speeds and Rpms without being “glass pack” ish. Can’t recommend it enough. WOT and aggressive driving just plain sounds glorious.

short shifted 3rd could have gotten even more ahead even though you already won. Im at a toss up right now i dont know what one to get right now i have a 2009 z51 manual that im going to be trading in for a C7 z51 i want the A8 for the 0-60 and 1/4 times just floor it beast mode but I also love driving manual only thing with the manual that kinda sux is im always just skipping 2nd gear altogether like i just do 1-3-6 or 1-3-5-6 or 1-4-6 like with the shorter gearing of the z51 normal driving and going into second is pointless I have a skip shift eliminator also like 1-3 feels way more normal almost feels like 2nd is also 1st gear I know i should be getting the manual and just be done with it but watching those drag racing clips of A8s just shifting lightning fast is kinda getting me wanting it but i would so hate to go spend like 45k on a car and hate my choice in transmission in a month or so because once i had a 99 transam ls1 6speed manual that i traded for a bmw 330i convertible automatic i instantly regretted it and ended up trading it in for a camaro ss ls1 manual later that year that was many years ago but right now i have the C6 corvette manual and love it just the slow driving granny shift skipping gears is kinda blah feeling but all out drag racing or just banging out the gears hoping i dont get pulled over is very fun just the times i go all out and very few in between which is where the auto just smooth shifting would come into play this is just one long run on sentence i know but i dont know what to do im about one month from buying my car is free and clear for trade.
