I grew up on the music of Jr. Walker and what I’ve heard folks call his Texas Roadhouse style of jazz. I still play his stuff today, including this one. All his instrumentals are incredible.

Went a bit mad on the runs in the 80's. I didn't mind the Scooter Boy look after we'd all been revivalist Mods, but the Saddle Tramp era when it was trendy to get as dirty and oily as possible was a bit much. All the Scooters cut down and chopped in that era as well, what a loss. Two lads pashing a Lammy, how often do you see that?

I have so many Northern Soul singles. And its taken me a while to realise that this is probably the essence of Northern Soul.So evocative of time and and place. And a b side.Magic

Wasn't allowed to be a Mod in 71 the local Mods wouldn't allow it lol as I am half Jamaican half English back as a child so I were a Rude Boy. Still am at 59 good news is them couldn't stop this Rude Boy from being in to Soul and Northern Soul still going strong still the real deal. Never got into the disco sounds myself but it all comes from Soul which make sit family!
