I see mostly 3 bikes/racks usually when people are reviewing Ride88 in their trucks. Could you squize in 4 29" mtb enduro bikes at the same time without any issues? Taling about 2023 Ranger Raptor size truck bed for example? Thx.

assume you never use the air conditioning? I’m in the southwest and would stay in a couple places where it would be a little bit warm inside there. I know you have to be on AC. I wish they would start building these with 12 V air conditioners.
@AdventuresWithClair5 күн бұрын
Yeah I never use the AC, I prefer to just hang out in a camp chair in the shade normally. I’m typically camping higher elevations during the hot months and desert in the winter so no need usually.

Sick trail! Which is your preferred climbing route?
@AdventuresWithClair24 күн бұрын
If I’m just going for fast laps the road is by far the fastest but the crappiest by far. Normal run I prefer Tank Run > Kiln It > Highline > Telegraph. Tank Run > Big Red > Kiln It > Highline > Telegraph is good also. The nice thing about the road is there is a small chance someone will pick you up on their way up to shuttle stuff. I’ve been picked up multiple times, if you have access to an Ebike that’s a great machine for down there.

I would love to hear your thoughts about the RM Instinct vs the Ibis Ripmo/Ripmo AF. On paper, the ripmo does seem like you get more bang for your buck over the Instinct.
@AdventuresWithClairАй бұрын
If I had easier access to a demo I’d definitely try the newer versions but some of these demos I had to pay 180$ to try them. I’ve heard good things about the Ripmo Newer versions but the AF is 34lbs which is kinda getting into the heavy bike category. I rode a version 1 I think or 2 I’m not sure back in 2020 or 2021. It was kinda twitchy on the steering in low speeds and I didn’t like the design back then. Storage was a problem with where the shock mounted and you could only fit a baby water bottle in it. But a lot of people like the bike these days.

Wyoming is SO windy! I was worried our truck might tip on some of the flats where it get up to 70 mph regularly. Can the wind blow you over on a jump? Is it pretty dangerous when biking?
@AdventuresWithClair2 ай бұрын
It can turn the tires out from underneath you when you’re in the air. So you can’t jump when there is high winds.

What size are your fat bike tires? Is that a cake eater up front? Does the cake eater fit in the rack? Does the wind catch the pogies with the bikes in backwards?
@AdventuresWithClair2 ай бұрын
27.5 wheels, both cake eater tires front and rear, fits into the rack no problem, and the wind blows them a little bit it's never been a problem. When I used bar mitts which just velcro on it wasn't a problem either.

Think 4 could fit without rubbing? Also, is there a way to fold them down for a tonneau cover?
@AdventuresWithClair2 ай бұрын
Yes but it would require unscrewing a part every time, 4 would be tough with the tailgate closed. If you left the tailgate down you could for sure, or had an 8' bed then yes.

I've bought two of these in the last year and sent them both back. Both were off by 5-7 psi compared to my other gauges (which all read the same for a given check) regardless of checking pressures on my MTBs or road bikes.
@AdventuresWithClair3 ай бұрын
That’s a bummer I’ve had great luck with them. Check your local bike shop there are some other good alternatives out there. If you’re checking your pressure with the stem at the bottom you may be getting sealant inside them causing issues as well.
