Original general Griveous was a freaking badass, idk why in the god's will George Lucas decided to change him into cartoonish idiotic villain when he was perfectly introduced in the original short animations.

I’d love to see a movie about Grevious that shows his veracity and skill in hand-to-hand combat, aswell as his upgrades and detriments of his existence as a half-droid. There could be a scene scarier than the Rogue One Vader scene, showing how Grevious’ droidification turned him into the craziest fighter.

its such a good scene because one of the only way to weaken a Jedi's near godlike abilities is to make them feel fear and doubt, Grievous isn't just a person who knows how to fight jedi, he can hunt them, he understands that they have vulnerabilities and he never lowers his guard to their strength.

Windu only fought him once and he never wanted to fight him again because he was learning a Juyo variant (Vaapad) despite being unable to feel or use the force.

ROTS did Grievous fine. He was still competent in that movie, just crippled by Mace Windu's Force Crush. The "Time to abandon ship" moment was clever from both Grievous and George Lucas (anybody who says Lucas can't write is an idiot). Having Grievous launch ALL the escape pods, not just his own, sent Anakin, Obi-Wan and Palpatine hurtling towards near-certain death while also establishing 2 things about Grievous' personality at the same time. 1) He's a coward. 2) He's an INTELLIGENT coward who knows how to leave his enemies in a situation that has a very high chance of killing them even while he flees. TCW on the other hand ruined Grievous by leaning too far into his cowardly side without giving him enough victories to balance it out. Dave Fuckloni also stripped him of his intelligence. His cowardice is fine but his incompetence and clumsiness in battle are not. At least show Grievous killing a few powerful Jedi like Eeth Koth and Adi Gallia. Keeping Koth alive was completely pointless and Gallia was killed by Grievous in the EU.

I think putting Dooku's teachings in more layments terms he had to make the jedi utterly s**t themselves and make them forget their own teaching. Dont even let them think they can use the force as an option, or if they do you need to have them think,"Maybe I can but..". If you cant make them hesitate dont engage.

How difficult would it have been for a jedi to just used the force to levitate him and any droid for that matter? It honestly makes no sense for any non jedi to be so easily kill them.

The Jedi can't use the force if they have fear in Legends Grievous is designed to beat Force users by using fear, surprise and intimidation

Grievous literally outpaces the Force at 3:37, so good luck with that. In addition, he also has repulsors built into his body, so he still would be able to move midair even if the Jedi were to do as you say. Alternatively, he could just return to the ground or any other surface in the vicinity using his grappling hooks. It’s a checkmate for the Jedi: they are simply outmatched.

The respect is what clinches it, for me. Grievous became a joke the moment he arrived in live action, but this version scares and is properly scared of Jedi. This Grievous left no room for error against competent foes.

Two things the 2003 Clone Wars has over the 2008 Clone Wars: -The droids are actually a threat and come off as a competent military force capable of threatening the Republic -Grievous lives up to his reputation as a terrifying Jedi killer and master battle strategist, justifying his position as Supreme Commander of the Droid Army

This is an interesting thing… When you are hunched in a formation like that by having each others back…. The most vunerable spot is the middle… Zabuza in Naruto did the EXACT same thing by taking the centre of their formation, you take their immiedaite advantage

Even for a cartoonish Star Wars, they managed to create such an intense atmosphere. If they wanted to show how powerful Grievous was during the Clone Wars, they nailed even far more than it was expected .
