Hey! You probably don't remember me but we worked at sports seasons together a little when you were in high school lol. I ran into Mary the other day and she showed me your channel! And I subscribed! Good work! I hope you are good and if you ever need editing help... that's what i do, specifically for the bass boating industry! Lol great work I can't wait to see what you do next!

Step 1-put the car on ramps.Flush the system,with new fluid.Another video. Step 2-Jack the passenger side up,remove the ramp install jack stand. Remove tire. Step 3- As a safety measure use a few block and a 2x4 to put under the passenger frame as a back up in case jack stand fails. Step 4- remove the 10mm 🔩 Bolt low supply. Step 5-16mm open end wrench for high supply line hose,disconnect. Step 6-Remove 1st power steering bolt 15mm with a long extension and swivel. Step 7-get underneath (your safe)with long extension and swivel go past driveshaft to get 2nd bolt out(pain in ass) or just feel for it from the wheel well with small extension and inch it out the 15min way. Step 8- rotate the now free pump so that the pulley faces you in the wheel well. Place a flathead screwdriver in the wheel and lodge it so it can't spin.Attach the puller and free the pulley (I use impact wrench on the puller bolt takes 10sec)Now the pump can be fished out from the wheel well with pulley wheel off. Step 9-reinstall in reverse order. Step 10-Check the filter in the reservoir,brake cleaner works good small amounts of its dirty,add a inline filter to the return line. Step 11-change the Belt if it's due, bleed the air out.2hr Job.2 people 1hr.Good video but not the easiest way.No need ever to drop the frame,removing the 2 heatshields underneath will work also fishing it out that way with the pulley on,by the driveshaft.

How much does it cost to install a radiator support on a 2013 camaro if u already have the radiator support part?
@ThomasBFishing4 жыл бұрын
To do it correctly, just replacing the radiator support would cost about $2500.

Dont have to drop subframe .. just remove the transmission mount and lower that side of engine and it will come out
@NeroticNoob4 жыл бұрын
I did the same thing today on my wife's 2014 enclave. However, in addition to lowering the passenger side engine cradle I had to lower both driver side cradle bolts also. When I was putting everything back together I had a minor alignment issue with the passenger side cradle bolts. Will lowering all for cradle bolts cause an issue with front end wheel alignment?

What prompted replacing the power steering pump? I’m hunting down a low groaning/moaning noise that happens during acceleration. Mostly after the vehicle has come to a complete stop.
@ThomasBFishing5 жыл бұрын
It was my wife's friends car, but it had a similar noise and then the power steering stopped working all together. Replaced it and it worked fine after.
@NeroticNoob4 жыл бұрын
The one on my wife's enclave started whining, and got louder over the course of a few months. I could feel a slight jerky movement when I spun the steering wheel. A few days ago, it started grinding really bad. When pumped the fluid out of the reservoir it looked like shit. It was a reddish brown color with tiny flakes of metal in it.

MWZ MiniSodes - I just checked with GMC, and there may be an extended warranty on the 2007-2011 models of Acadia, Traverse, and Enclave. Might be worth saving your receipts in case you can be reimbursed.

How many hour would you estimate? Dealer in FL charging my father $1300 for pump and high-pressure line that they blame for pump failure! GRRRR I drove car just before it went to dealer and noticed hard turn at engine idle. Checked fluid it was low. Topped fluid and condition was same...low idle hard steering effort. Comment welcome.

I was able to remove the pump from the back in my 2008 after a little finagling. I did have to disconnect the fluid line that is screwed into the rack and pinion as well to give more room.

Jason Frost i did some research before doing my wifes Acadia. it was awd. it wasn't to bad to do. a little tougher then the fwd but still relatively easy. im happy I did it myself then paying 700 + to have a mechanic do it
@neuby715 жыл бұрын
You can take it out from the backside and remove the return line that is connected to the rack and Pinion and I believe it was a 14 mm loosening up pop it out of the rack and pinion uou will be able to slide the pump out
