At the time I bought the system, I was told I’d have to run the whole system-oil pan, crossmember, headers. They stopped production of those headers tho. If you find a header that works with em, let me know…🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

I totally agree. I’d hate to tear open new motors to prep em for boost. My malibu is twin turbo so I’ll roll with that and be happy. HP is addictive lol! I may build a motor later and set it all up for boost (lsx376b15 😉)

Only the top coat. I’ve never seen the actual POR-15 in any other color but black and maybe silver. The top coats come in white tho.. Answering from my other channel fam.. if you go with POR, you gotta use the etch from them or it will peel off. It’s a nice coating tho. Levels out real pretty even with a paint brush. But it needs to be top coated

I like the Tamco over POR-15. POR is nice, but it lacks the UV protection, you MUST use all their products or it will peel. The Tamco is a Por killer-2k and direct to metal-also no need to top coat-its uv protection is great. Only downfall for the diy’r is you gotta spray it out a gun.. Yep!! HF and Amazon guns FTW!!! Perfect for jobS like this cuz they are cheap throw aways. I thought the HF gun failed on me, but the mix hardened up cuz I took too long to spray it-I was fighting the wind-paper flying up ect ect. Had to toss the gun out. You can actually get the frame nice even with it still In the S! I did the el like that before and was really happy with it. Thanks for stopping thru bruh!!🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

I use to be hard core all about wet sanding then i finally converted to machine sanding with orbital sander

I’m still trying to get a system down I have some sponge/foam 6” interface pads coming and imma try my hand at damp sanding with the air tool. Ill use a rigid flat block with 1500 and then the air tool with 1500, then 2000 and then 2500. See how that combo works. This has been really fun so far, using this cheap paint job to learn from..

@@elcowarren if I have trash I have a 3 inch mini sander I nib out with then I start with 1,200 1,500 2,000 all dry and one last round of 3,000 these clears today are alot softer and they level out way better than before I use Sherwin Williams refinish systems

@@danielfontanez2916 Oh no worries! You want the shifter AND trans to be in park. The cable cannot have any kinks or sharp bends as it goes thru the floor. The cable loops around the trans and goes thru the bracket you mount on the transmission. Do a search for the Quicksilver installation here on KZbin. There’s a bunch of how to vids. Be sure to read thru the included instructions THOROUGHLY!!
