This is very helpful. I just got my first book (that has been up for a month) BLOCKED, but the email doesn't say WHY this 350 page book is blocked. They really should say exactly what it is rather than referring back to the guidelines. Now, I have to wait for a response and hope they tell me exactly what it is. How incredibly frustrating!

I selected and modified a book cover for my first KDP coloring book, then I created a templet, but now when I drag my cover onto the template it covers the whole template, can't even see the "transparency" button and cannot move the cover image. This is happening to me. I took a break from publishing and when I came back it now automatically blocks anything I try to publish. The latest was a kids coloring book. I’m diligent in creating content and meta data that meets guidelines. I’m not getting any response from KDP are: what is prompting these blocks.

Good content as usual! Thanks for sharing this Nuria. AI can definitely be a useful tool for image reference but for clean lineart images it has a long way to go. Most black and white AI images intended for coloring books are too detailed and look more like a black and white photograph. Quality is good though but in my opinion not suitable for coloring. Thanks for sparking new ideas.

Despite my books being initially approved, royalties were withheld when my account was terminated. Max Penalty: Up to 30 years in prison and substantial fines. Harassment: My KDP account was terminated twice without clear explanations, causing significant emotional distress and professional harm. Max Penalty: Civil penalties, including substantial fines and compensatory damages. Economic Sabotage: Unfairly delisting my entire library of 150 books disrupted my income stream and damaged my reputation. Max Penalty: Potentially severe civil penalties, including punitive damages. Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress: Lack of communication and transparency left me in the dark, severely impacting my mental health. Ignoring my communications exacerbated the issue. Max Penalty: Civil damages, including compensation for emotional suffering. Mam does Amazon kdp block book due to use of VPN(location changer).I am asking this because my 5 books are blocked one after the other as soon as I uploaded to publish (while under review). Although I made them almost perfect according to all aspects (i.e plagiarism,AI content, grammar, spelling, formatting,...)

I spent 18 hours over two days last week trying to upload my high content, heavily illustrated book. It is a large file but less than the maximum. The upload failed at least 12 times at over an hour of uploading each time. I spent the last six hours of the second day with chat support. The first one told me that I didn't put in a page count - there is no place to put in a page count. Then it went downhill from there. I must have gone through at least 8 different chat people - if they are people. Chat support gave me a link - twice - to upload it so they can look at it - both times the upload was successful - both times they told me it wasn't there. They told me to save as draft when the upload failed to my books but when I did that I got an error that the feature wasn't available. The only way to get out of the error was to refresh the page which deletes the upload that failed. When I told chat that, the person would leave the conversation! Someone else would come in and ask "what can I help you with today?". I would have to start all over explaining the problem. After six hours of chat "support" I got frustrated, couldn't type, couldn't think and then they told me that if I can't upload it - as if it was my fault - then there is nothing they can do. I wonder if they are blocking books at the upload process. I have one other book I created last year which uploaded easily with no errors. I can't bring myself to even try again with my beautiful book that I worked on for 9 months.

They cant beat it without affecting people who put in time and talent they should just stop!!!! I have decided to diversify, i would open a shopify store, and print and ship some of my books so all of them wont be on kdp.

This video is so "on-point" that I can't even express it. I hope it goes viral within the writing community because the blogs are encouraging writers to use AI to write whole entire books, with no editing, nothing and KDP has already fixed its algorithm to check and find these things on impact. It is a great tool for research but is causing complacency within the author's creativity! It imposes these stringent rules on everyone.

I've got a question. Many people do this, and I'm one of them. We stuff many keywords in the title and subtitles because titles rank better than the back end keywords. My question is, if we put only keywords in 7 slot, will our books rank as well as if we put them in the title and subtitle? ❤❤❤❤❤

I love AI tools and think they are an important part of helping with faster research, acting as a writing assistant, and creating beautiful images. For me, its about using AI tools with care and thoughfulness. I think some people using AI tools don't care about the quality and there is too much detail, fuzzy lines and greyscale for coloring books, some book makers just don't care about quality or the customer user experience - I would not buy some of those books. I use ai to make coloring books, but I go to great lengths in my ai edits to remove greyscale and artifacts, and upscaling so the lines are sharp and clean, and spent a long time perfecting a prompt that gives me great images - I go to great lengths to make my AI books look like they are not created by AI - but it takes a bit of extra time per image to make it look just right for the customer. 💕💕💕🌻🌻🌻🌻
