Hello Nuria, but the looks of it, the backgrounds were all AI generated. Unfortunately many illustrations/ designs sellers on sich platforms do not disclose AI generated content anymore.

Do you mean you published Public Domain books? That's a very complicated niche to get into and they have a lot of rules on what can and can not be done. This is why I've never published them, it's very risky.

I seem to make money selling books and journals only if I pay for Ads. Unfortunately, I used FB Ads and because people were clicking on my YT videos, YT won't allow me to monetize and removed my AdSense account for invalid clicking. The appeal didn't help. Thanks for your video 🤗

When I saved the file from Atticus to the computer, it didn't save it as it should have, I re-downloaded it and it was ok. The curious thing was, IngramSpark had no problems with the same file!

once they block one of your books your account goes directly to black list, which means everything you publish will be blocked

You can find lots of good characters on Creative Fabrica, Creative Market and Etsy. It takes time to find some but they are available and you can ask the illustrators to create them for you too.

The copyright is a standard format in all books, take a look at any children book and take ideas and inspiration from there. Most books have the same copyright text.

I appreciate your sharing this very helpful information and I did buy your children's book course for $149 but I feel a bit disappointed by it because after taking the course, and seeing this, I don't think single images make a competitive book. It would be nice but really, I think, just my view, that one really needs an illustrator to compete in this market unless it's a book made for fun only and not profit. Just my opinion. I do highly value your videos, advice and example.

I totally understand your view and that's why the course includes details on collaborating with an illustrator. However, not everyone can afford it and that's why I also teach the alternative by using ready made images. It's always best to use an illustrator if possible.

I'm glad you got through Amazon's automated circular nonsense. I'm an older man and a new aspiring writer. I have an opposite personality to you and negatively fret over worst case scenarios. I don't think I could've made it through that trial of patience and reason you endured. I will look into your book and journal. It appears it could be a valuable tool for me moving forward. If IngramSpark was distributing your book to Amazon, why did you need to publish with Amazon as well?

Good question. Because I get higher royalties when sales are made on Amazon compared to the royalties you get when IngramSpark distributes to Amazon. I also have full control over the book's product page, including keywords, categories, and (very important) using A+ content. With Amazon, I can also make faster changes to my book's details. And I can use the Amazon platform to run ads. The reason I also publish on Ingram is for the wider distribution to bookstores and libraries. Both platforms have their strengths, and using them together allows me to maximise my reach while tailoring my strategy for each platform.
