I had a thyssenkrupp elevator in my apartment, which always goes past the top floor and hit the top of the shaft. It once hit the motor so hard it broke it. Edit: we now have a 400a in our 3 floor apartment.

I would have asked for the General Manager. I thought only the General Manager or Owner could trespass someone. Guess not. I get that it's private property but the place is being destroyed and I really wish I could have visited but I never got to go to Las Vegas. Rest in Pieces Tropicana. 1957-2024. You looked so awesome and you will be missed.

Wow these are keycarded too (at least not "smarted"), there are less and less reasons to go into NYC. The only hotels (that aren't taken over with migrants) with keycard free hotel elevators are at the Hyatt Centric, Crowne Plaza, Westin Times Square, Hyatt Centric, Sheraton NY, Hilton Midtown, Hilton Times Square, New Yorker and Millenium Hilton. Who knows if those hotels will stay easy given the state of the city. If your lucky some will have the readers off or have a top floor restaurant/bar.

Hyatt Centric is keycarded now, Sheraton checks for keys, but there are TONS of other high rise hotels that are still unlocked

@@Jowevator3219 The Palace added keycard readers but I'm not sure if they are on yet. The Tempo by Hilton is new so maybe it's open for now but I'm sure they have readers the only question is if they activated them yet. What else is easy?

I love how you fixed the floor indicator from falling out lol. It's possible the buttons are replacements, but it's also possible the outer coating was removed to make the buttons California compliant.

Sad that people might be using this as a trashcan. Also that mod is funny and probably pointless as that is not ADA in any way. Although considering the condition of this the original buttons were probably awful.

“You’re not allowed there.” “Oh, OK.” Exactly how this kind of thing should go. Guy 1 wasn’t all pissy or rude or anything, and didn’t leave you stunned for a bit or with any questions, just stated that it wasn’t a public area in a reasonably polite way. You immediately complied, which is also the right way to handle it.
