Where is best parking location to access the moving rock? To walk least. I hope to see the rocks, but with fastest way as we don't have much time. Thanks.
@RobandKassAdventures7 күн бұрын
The south end of the playa has all the moving rocks. There’s a parking area near an information board and walk on the playa towards the East to the mountains.

Greetings from a HUGE DEATH VALLEY fan. When we first went there, I thought we would spend 6 -8 hours just driving around and through.We have been back to this incredible NATIONAL Park 19 more times since 2007. Love your videos and appreciate your hard work. I started my own travel channel in January and look forward to hitting 1000 subs and the 4000 watch hours. I love the challenge and especially enjoy sharing this gorgeous country with as many people as I can. I have gobs of information and experience because I’ve traveled this country fulltime for over 30 years and been to over 250 national parks. Safe travels to you and yours. Edit on!

Thanks for watching! Well definitely visit Death Valley again, it’s an amazing national park with so many gems to see!

I LOVE Death Valley and have been there a few times. When you showed the maps I think it would have been better to display it in "Terrain" though.

Thanks for the tip! We’ll be sure to use terrain view in further videos!

is the location accessible via honda accord?
@RobandKassAdventures20 күн бұрын
The main road is very smooth so your honda accord would make it but going off the main road to this rock formation is not a good idea. I'd suggest to park on the side of the main road and hike in 5 minutes to this cool rock formation!

When did y'all make this hike? My family and I are planning on going next July, but curious what the waterfalls will be like. Would love to see them like in your video, but worried they will be much less water.

Loved the drone footage! It was awesome. We live in Montrose so we see the peaks from our patio. Kass was stressed and glad you didn't push her to summit. The San Juan's are our play ground and we just finished capturing all the fall foliage. Glad you make it safe and sound! Thanks for sharing. 😆😆😆😆😆😆👍👍👍👍👍

Clear trail. That is to be expected when it's not over growing with plants or trees. Now, imagine doing this in a hot day. Doesn't appear to have a lot of cover.

I tried to access this area last week but there is now a restriction on driving vehicles posted - no cross country driving to the site. One has to walk about a mile from the designated parking area. I was talking with a guy from NM and suggested I take the walk. My legs were sore that day from walking to see The Citadel and the day before, the East Mesa Trail so there was no way I was going to hike out to the site at 4PM and it was 90 + degrees.

The rangers have made rock lined paths for you to drive between. There are still a few spots that are not marked but they are mostly deep sand.

Great video. We plan to go out there in late October. Were you able to access the area in a 4x4, or do you need to have an ATV? Ty!
@RobandKassAdventures2 ай бұрын
You can get there with a 4x4 vehicle, there a fairly wide dirt road that runs to here from the main highway as you can see in the video.

Don't get caught out there in a rain storm. Spent four years traveling through there for research. Absolutely beautiful but really gooey when wet. It's a long way over Thousand Lakes mountain if you aren't prepared to stay a day or more waiting for the clay to dry.

how long was the hike, is it hard for a dog to hike on this. Can u drive a smll Rv going here
@RobandKassAdventures3 ай бұрын
No hard at all, very slight incline and took about 30 minutes from the parking area. Not sure how a heavier RV would do in the dirt to get to the parking area as there isn't a designated road. You can always park on the main road and hike in, that could be 1-1.5 hour because of the added distance.
@emieocampo18823 ай бұрын
our Rv is the adventure class C 20 feet long so it's not the longest

Test it out for a couple minutes on dirt, if you’re sinking because of weight then park at the road and hike in.
