So it would spin both axles permanently?....the same as in when people weld differerntials...is that what you're talking about? Or something more advanced such as having that system, but still be able to switch back to normal? I know there are trucks that have lockeable axles/differentials....and I even saw 4x4 truck axles when I was at the scrapyard.....but these are not common. Anything can be done, but Alot of fabrication and cost

I’m about to do the same, what did you use to thin out the paint?
@OldCrowsClassicCars
@OldCrowsClassicCars 6 күн бұрын
I used paint thinner from Home Depot or Canadian Tire. I also experimented with Varsol, Laquer thinner and Acetone....all worked. But I still used a big diameter nozzle on the paint gun, biggest I could find on ebay, I think it was a 2.5mm. I also used paint hardener from NAPA to make the paint dry fast....otherwise it takes days.

what about the manual ones i have a 1953 MGTD and that has electrically converted wipers or there is a lever on them you can manually move the wipers to Swipe the windsheild in both directions i will note on Antique British Cars they mostly used Virgin Rubber Seals and parts on their Vehicles and that did not hold up well to the elements or Petroleum products so they were prone to failure for Hydraulic Systems you need to use a Vegetable based Hydraulic Oil or the seals will just fail very quickly within a day or two ! Some British cars used that untill the 1980s

Hey man Im kind of new to cars and I was wondering about the fuses in the box. Could I buy some from autozone or would I have to order those specific ones online? Kind of confused on how the fuses work
@OldCrowsClassicCars
@OldCrowsClassicCars 4 ай бұрын
Hey. So 1st thing a fuse is basically just a simple wire ( in fact I've replaced/bypassed a fuse that way in certain ocasions). Difference being that the fuse is thinner so that it breaks in the event of excessive current thereby interrupting the current
@OldCrowsClassicCars
@OldCrowsClassicCars 4 ай бұрын
Now, in the case of this Tbird, it uses the little cylindrical glass fuses readily available on autozone, Amazon and rockauto and most any small hardware store These types are generic and used on many applications from cars to circuit boards.....in fact you could even snatch one from a microwave if you had to.

Nice, i have a 1989 f600 chassis with a blue bird bus body, it has a 3 speed auto trans and i assume a 2 speed rear diff. I think my rear diff either isnt shifting, or is shifting improperly, any idea why that would happen?
@OldCrowsClassicCars
@OldCrowsClassicCars 5 ай бұрын
I don't know much about that truck, although I've seen it before, and I actually almost bought it instead of the IH. The shifting of the 2-speed axle is done by the actuator/shifter on the differential. I've actually converted mine to pneumatic, but they're usually electric....and I think that's probably what you have on your truck. It's shifted by a switch on the shifter stick. In that case, possible causes would be the switch, wiring, or contact points on the unit.
