The Complexity of the Pipe Organ Voicing Process is Really No Different Than Pilot Training for Flying A Plane ✈️. Both are designed for Wind 💨 and Best Performance By Working With the Wind. And 🤔☝️A Huge Correction of the Size of the Bass Pipes Aren’t Just At 32’. Most Are However ☝️ There’s Some Pipe Organs That Have 64’😮Stops On Them.

2 questions, do the length of the resonator affects something in the sound because we can change the pitch on the reed that means we dont need to change the resonator but i see giant resonators behind you guys, 2 question, do the shallot conects with the resonator or conects with the wall? And where the air that goes trough the shallot goes

A very thorough and excellent demonstration. The time spent on the pedalboard really helped this old piano player comprehend the technique. Excellent playing! I would love to hear you do a concert.❤

One of my favorite Todd Wilson CD's is "In a Quiet Cathedral", where disc 1 track 1 is "Schmücke dich, o Liebe Seele". From the first bar of this chorale prelude I feel like I'm in a quiet and sacred space.

What a great video, thank you very much! I have a question: how can the trumpet 8 be turned down to a level that it sounds with the same strength as the principal 8 does. Thanks so much for your response!
@scottblanchard2569
@scottblanchard2569 2 жыл бұрын
Both principal and trumpet stops exist in a wide variety of strengths and volume levels. Trumpets can range from mild to quite strong/loud, so can often be made to blend successfully with principal stops. The difference in tonal strength is determined by all the factors of pipe construction and wind pressure. Thanks for your interest, Todd Wilson

The 4' octave of the Koppelflote (c-1 - f#-7) has a closed cap, the pipes above (g-8 to c-61) have an open cap. (The break would have been better made tonally at g#-9 but that's the way AE-S always made them). They were made out of spotted metal or frosted tin. [For those individuals with a 'fixation' on languid bevels (?), AE-S languids were always cut at 45-degrees]. Completely stopping the top of an open pipe causes its pitch to play an octave lower. You should not be messing with and touching the reed tongue with your fingers on that irreplaceable English horn, Mr. Please keep your ballpoint pen tip off the nicked languid!

Principal tone is the fundamental and characteristic tone of the pipe organ and no other instrument. It is the sound produced by open metal pipes. At 8' pitch middle C matches middle C on the piano.
