One night, shortly after becoming a Christian, I prayed to God that I was still having a problem with Jesus whom I'd always thought was just someone out to steal God's thunder. That night, I had what I thought was a dream. In it, Satan came to me as I stood surrounded by darkness. He stood so close to me our toes were touching. He tried to make me think he was just a man and to look at him. But the thought, if I look at him I'll die, came to me. So I closed my eyes and bowed my head. Someone to my right said, Pray like this. And we began speaking a language I'd never heard. I'd never heard of praying in tongues as I'd just become a believer. That was 37 years ago. I've never done it since but want to. Footnote: Upon awakening from this... dream...I could understand what I was praying. I heard myself repeating, I love you, Jesus, over and over. My heart was pounding so hard i was afraid I was having a heart attack. The bed actually jolted with each beat. For 3 weeks after it was having such strong heart palpitations I went to the doctor who did an ekg. While looking at it, the doctor says, so you've had a heart attack, huh? I looked at him a little confused and said, No. He looked very perplexed as he stared at the ekg for a few more moments and said no more. It wasn't till years later, years of learning God's word, and very recently after having invasive heart tests, that id had a septal infarct in the past. A type of heart attack. I had an NDE. I now call myself a follower of Christ.

I am seeking this gift but God's timing is perfect. Thank you Jesus
