aaargh i dit install Homebridge on Qnap, and i can open the app, tried some plugins like zigbee2mqtt but none dit something. Yes when i cleaned (reset) Apple Home i could scan again the qr got a lot of devices but too bad all are only switches, So no power measurements when using the Homebridge plugin that is here nowadays on Homeassistant. I have Homeassistant on a Nuc (supervised) does this all above (setup with terminal) also work with the supervised Home Assistant?

Way too much crap to setup just for ai detection. Seems like its still in development if it requires a docker to run. Once it becomes actual software and can run on its own then ill think about it. Its basically strictly for extreme nerds at the moment. Im only a partial nerd..

How did you get the keypad? No one else that ordered the lock has received their keypad, only the smart lock that attaches to the keypad!

Drop Gparted iso onto a Ventoy USB, boot the Ventoy USB and launch the Gparted iso file, works great.

am running the command on mac os terminal, and am getting an error (zsh: parse error near `&')? i tried replacing the & with " and it replies the details but no new userid is generated as stated in your video

Hi, thank you for the great review. The camera, model CQ1 is very good. I am, however, having recurring connection problems where the camera ia disconnected and needs an in loco reset. The wifi symbol frequently goes to yellow and the camera will disconnect. I tried extenders, new router and better position in the house, but nothing seems to solve the problem. I am starting to believe that I have a defective camera because tue indoor cameras and other devices don't present this problem. The distance between the router and camera is about 16 metres and just a window in between. Do you have any suggestions?

Did you have any issues linking it to your account? Mine simply won’t link. I have tried connecting it to my WiFi, nothing.. I have tried connecting it via 4g lte, nothing.. any thoughts?

For everyone reading this in 2024 and scratching your head.. Well stop. Use the official integration in home assistant. Make sure your roomba is connected to wifi. Start the setup and get to the point where it says "hold the spot and home button for 30 seconds" DON'T! Doing that seems to put the roomba in AP mode and HA won't be able to find the credentials. Even on the website it says to do the same and someone seriously needs to update this! Hold the home button only until you hear a sound and release and then hit submit and it will pop right up. And of course make sure to force close the roomba app before starting any of this! No point in going through python to find the pass word. Now it's been said that firmware updates can kill the integration so honestly if your robot is working fine i would not allow firmware updates.

i made sure that the roomba was connect to wifi and I held it until it made a noise but the connection did not work, it also was not open on any devices what can i do, and its hard to find the BLID password there is no direct tutorial, pls help

Useless camera, its blurry, it wouldnt record after 9.30 for somereason. humans walking in front of it in broad day light and it doesn't pickup. Keeps sending me notifications of cars. What a waste of money.

I didn't understand anything because I have an address in the form rtsp://IPaddress:554/stream0 (I can display the stream with VLC) but I don't see anything like that in your yaml file?

The major problem for all AOSU products is their lack of a large size (read iPad size) app. They insist that their products are available for phones (iPhone app store) however, on an iPad it so damn small it’s nearly useless for a senior. All they had to do was to create the app in both and the scenes would have been fine. For a great company to miss the mark like that shows a lack of attention to detail …. Not in the hardware, but in the software for personal usage ….

This looks interesting. But, can someone help me understand exactly what is the utility of running Kodi inside of a docker container?

Ease of setup is one reason. When moving a media server with many programs to a new computer all you have to move is the docker compose file and everything will set up on their own. Security also. A rogue plugin can't delete your movies or access other files on your computer. And also docker makes it easy to use software like this on multiple machines acting as one server, called a swarm. That way if one machine dies the whole server doesn't go down.

when you say does it support, what do you mean exactly? You would still manage the ai features from within the tp link app. the nvr would really just handle the recording side

Interesting clip, this is my first watch.... am interesting in Frigate so i need be more clear on these.... I got mini pc with Home Assistant and am i right add Frigate onto the same mini PC with Home assistant OR need other mini PC for Frigate NVR with bigger harddrive (called 'NVR' Mini PC) and link between Mini PC HA to MiniPC Frigate? Correct?

you should be able to add it on same machine, depending on how you have home assistant setup. How much storage do you have on this machine, will it have enough space for recording?

@@BurnsHA thanks for getting back to me. yeah am starting to setup Home Assistant and Frigate in docker version on the same machine (Mini Gigabyte i7, 16GB Ram, 1T NVME SSD M.2) ..... now am ongoing to try install and setup MQTT Docker.... still learning there. Would it be better to have external SSD via USB for storage media - 7 cctv enought for 1TB or need more?

One thing you might of seemed to forget to mention, is how to turn off notifications, if you’re outside working and you don’t want it to keep sending annoying notifications. On device page at bottom click on security, click according camera you want to temporally turn off notifications. The high lighted home setting click on cog gear to check or uncheck. Video recording, notifications, camera alarm and light alarm. This video showed me some settings I didn’t know how to do, thank You

Video a little unclear. The MEROSS smart plug won’t work at all without a Matter enabled hub. I’m assuming your using an Apple hub like the Apple TV that has the built in hub or one of their speaker that include the matter support. I know that Alexa has some devices, one of their echo speakers, that also include matter support. Do you know if this plug will work with that? Thanks

After rewatching my video you are correct, I didn't do a very good job of explaining that. I did use a new Apple TV 4K which has the Matter hub built in. Ill make sure to add that in the description. As to your question, yes the new Alexa and Google Home devices that have matter support will work with this plug. Thanks for the comment!

What about the situation when you have two partitions - both allocated - and I want to merge the two partitions? Moreover, what about moving allocated a partition in the middle or at the end of partitions to the extreme right hand side?! Would you consider doing a video of showing these aspects?

I’m new to HA and I’m struggling to learn how to add certain integrations etc to HA in order to allow control of my smart home devices etc. I am struggling to add iRobot roomba s9+ and Braava m6. I do not understand where I need to input the command line text within HA? I am using a Mac to run my HA on now any help you can provide would be a blessing as I’ve tried to follow other people GitHub documents showing installation instructions but it’s like reading code 01010011001 to me I don’t know exactly how to do what the instructions are saying
