The honourable member is wrong. Scotland IS a welcoming place for GENUINE asylum seekers. The UK Government is trying to discourage and put off the 'chancers'. The country already has been SATURATED with immigrants of both legal and illegal, as well as many genuine Asylym seekers. The country presently faces huge challenges with integrating an overwhelming number of young men who have arrived here illegally. Scotland does not need or is able to support any additional load. Thank You. We are not being racist or unwelcoming, but the more you try to force this on the population, the more static you will receive. Every measure should be adopted to ensure we only accept those mostin genuine need only. And, he is correct we have insufficent suitable accomodation and we should not be accepting people in to a broken system. We have large numbers of vulnerable already being put at risk because the Scottish government wanted to virtual signal and pretend we are capable of taking in and caring for all these indivduals, when we are not.
