I’ve had pppd for 3 years now and I was the one that actually found out my condition the doctors didn’t have any idea of it every single thing you’ve said in this video is what I deal with everyday I’ve been doing my dizziness exercises every single day for a long time and I’m still not seeing any improvement when I’m out in public or even when I’m just at home with it. Trying to explain this to my family and friends is hard because they don’t get it because they see that I look fine on the outside but in reality I’m not I’m 18 now so I was 15,16 when this first came around not knowing what is happening to me and thinking that there’s something terribly wrong with me because the doctors couldn’t think of what it could be I feel so lonely through this and I just want to live a normal life but with this it’s extremely impossible all I’m worrying about now is that I don’t know how to provide for myself because to me it’s really hard to have a job in busy environment.

any compensatory sweating?? how's it been? is this a completely permanent, lifetime type of thing?
@EMJAYstyles4 күн бұрын
Hey! No compensatory no, I’d say years on I still do sweat, sometimes more than other times but there is still deffo a reduction compared to before. I’d say the reduction has been around 60% or so, but within the first year it was more like 80%

Bought your guide - it’s super helpful! Can you tell us more of what your recovery journey was like? How long did it take from when it started to get better to completely gone, were there ups and downs during that time or just purely improvement, what symptoms went away first, etc? Also, do you know that stress increases your symptoms? Did you get less sensitive to stress during your recovery?
@EMJAYstyles13 күн бұрын
Hey David! Thanks for purchasing I’m glad it’s been useful for you :) I do mention this in my recovery video but will also type here: it took me a total of 8 months to feel completely ‘normal again’, but this would’ve likely been a slightly speedier process with some of the learnings I’ve mentioned in my guide e.g. mindset, breathing, diet etc (and for others that have commented it’s been a couple months for them). At the time recovery didn’t feel linear because I didn’t even realise I was recovering at the time, I was just so focused on the fact that I still felt dizzy that I hadn’t realised the reduction in severity - it was actually my mum and bf at the time who noticed I was mentioning feeling dizzy less and less and then I was like, oh wait yeah! When I had dizziness I used to suffer with ‘flare ups’ where for some reason 1 week a month my symptoms would sky rocket and I’d struggle to even walk, this was the first thing to stop occurring about 1-2 months into the exercises - and it then turned to more of a constant lower level dizziness. My head pressure symptom and nausea went pretty early on, but my dizziness was the most stubborn symptom to leave (although it was constantly reducing in severity, especially over months 5 onwards). I hope that’s helpful and if you want even more in depth drop me a message at @styledbymegx on insta and I’ll voice note you!!
@davidkang405712 күн бұрын
@@EMJAYstyles Thanks so much for the detailed response `! Mine have also gone down in severity, but I do notice that stress makes it worse and can end me into a episode for a few days at a time. Hoping that it'll continue to decrease.

I have also been suffering from this over the past year and a half and have been wondering if it has anything to do with the Covid injections, some people have mentioned it gets worse when going into the grocery store and I have to agree. It's almost like an overwhelming feeling but for no real reason. Good luck everyone I will try the ear stretching technique which was mentioned.

A lot of people have mentioned similar symptoms from the covid jabs! My dizziness came on way before Covid so I know that wasn’t the case for me, and I’m fully healed now - but yes I do believe the covid jab as a newer thing can cause random side effects in people as it’s not that researched!

I have developed an addiction to alcohol because of this. The only relief I get is when I drink beer in the evening to calm my nerves aswell as the dizziness. I have depression and 4 different anxiety disorders, but my main complaint is this constant floating sensation. My doctor has prescribed me Lexapro and he is certain this medicine will help my case. What is your thought about SSRI for this?
@EMJAYstylesАй бұрын
I’ve not taken SSRI’s myself so can’t comment, but I know a lot of other people have to help manage symptoms, and it’s been quite mixed in reviews. For some it’s been a really effective solution short-term, and for others it’s not really had an impact on symptoms. For you it may help in controlling your symptom-associated anxiety making each day more manageable, but generally I recommend committing to Vestibular Rehabilitation therapy to tackle the symptoms head on/and get them gone for good even if it takes time!
@kindergarten-1986Ай бұрын
I’ve been a internet detective for 2 years now to try to find out what my unexplained dizziness is and here I finally found it. I have this chronic sensation of floating and when I’m trying to go to sleep it feels like something inside of me is going up and down in my brain. As if there is something inside me that is trying to escape but can’t find the way out. I have developed agoraphobia because of this. For me this all started after I had a panic attack after trying my first pill of ecstasy in 2022 so I thought I was the only one in the world living with this as a result of this drug that I took.

I’m so glad I came across this video. My daughter may be suffering from this. She’s been diagnosed with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, vertigo etc, given many meds that made her situation worse. Then suicidal thoughts have come into play bc she feels like she’s the only one. Now she’s dx’d w/PMDD, which has similar symptoms. We’ve tried so much and as a mom I am at a loss bc her condition is getting worse. She had to quit work, it’s affecting her driving and college courses. It’s been a lot. She has an appointment today and I’m going to mention this. It’s sad but wonderful when you have to search for what could be wrong bc doctors are quick to throw meds at you and send you on your way. This young lady is God sent. Thank you for this information. May God continue to bless her and all who are experiencing this condition. It’s no joke. It exists and it’s time to take life back.❤️🙏🏽

I'm not experiencing severe symptoms, but I do feel anxious. When I walk, I have a strange sensation in my legs. I'm fairly fit at 96 kg, mostly muscle with some fat, but when I walk, I don't feel like I weigh 96 kg. It's as if I weigh 60 kg, which makes my movements more erratic. Additionally, when I lie down, it feels like I'm falling off the sides of the bed. Could this be PPPD? My general practitioner, who is a former neurologist, tells me not to worry, but I've had epilepsy in the past, so this situation is making me quite anxious.
