Thanks for the great video. Most of the so-called experts will tell you that open carry is not a good idea, and their list of reasons goes on and on. They are entitled to their opinion. Opinions are like belly buttons. Everybody has one. I grew up in a high crime area and I knew all of the bad people, the smart ones and the stupid ones. None of them wanted to get shot. I've traveled armed for more than 50 years, openly since 1985 and I will never know how many times trouble has taken a detour rather than confront an old man with a gun. I am 87 years old and I know from personal experience what can happen to old people when they're perceived as an easy target. The gun on my side is my personal sign that says beware, this old dog still bites. Unarmed people are a much safer target. Recently, local law enforcement, being uninformed about the state statute that allows open carry with the proper permit, chose to challenge the validity of my decision. They firmly believed that open carry was against the law in the state of Rhode Island. I was threatened with arrest and possible jail time. Eventually the city solicitor was able to convince the Police Department that what I was doing was perfectly legal and that their opinion about my reason didn't matter. On the plus side, this was the first time since I started carrying openly 38 years ago that law enforcement even noticed me. Rhode Island has a population of over 1.094 million and only 3500 people were issued a permit to carry. That's less than half of 1%. Many people with permits don't know that they are allowed to open carry or are afraid of reprisal from the Police if they do. I have never seen another Rhode Islander open carrying. This, in my opinion, is a classic example of, “use it or lose it.” I will no longer argue the point. My reasons are justifiable and personal, and I no longer choose to share them or argue the validity of my actions. My reasons are none of your business. The only pertinent question is, “is it legal?” When asked “What are you afraid of?” My reply has always been, - Nothing.

The problem is that the firearm in the video is lacking a hammer spur. If you had a real gun, it would have a hammer and you could shoot it more accurately in Single-Action mode. We are not with the L.A.P.D. of the 1960's - 1980's where the rule was: Shoot all 6 six shots whenever you pull your service pistol. Buy a wheel gun with a real hammer!

thanks for this. i'm being stalked and i'm afraid. law cannot protect you. and i can't find much on here to tell me what to do. i can't leave the house because he's here all the time. he wants to kill me because he thinks i'm the cause of all his troubles. i don't know why i'm in this situation. i think about the wind blowing it back to me. what do i do about that? he stays in the doorways of buildings waiting for me to walk by. pernicious. i don't even know if it is legal in massachusetts. i called 3 attorneys and they won't give me any legal advice. this sucks.

You heard Rob nail it! When the timer goes off, run to my car! at 2:45...why engage in a gunfight if you can avoid it???? Rob Leatham isn't a soldier. He moved and retreated but you're shooting different flavor lollypops so how real is it?????

I do believe behavior is so so important...as someone who hope to fend off any future abusive situations...but my tools I carry as the knowledge I've collected over the years conferning the matter...are such an asset to me Also the gear you may be carting could infact bring deciding factors to your actions and behaviors and can also be an asset in accomplishing task...that one's fitness level would normally find more difficulty in doing so I used to say the world takes all kinds What works best for one may not work at all for another In bringing our own unique skills preferences and curiosities We bring variety to one another while staying true to ourselves I used to try to do the best I could with what I had...basically Doing what I can for who I can when I can with what I can💕🙏💕 Guess I still do Especially since I am finally reaching a stringer level of acceptance through a grieving process I've been struggling with and hope this will bring my anger pain and denial out of that which sometimes felt like debilitating resentment...js💕🙂💕✨🙏✨

What if someone bought a gun at a pawn shop and then later it was reported stolen. Do the cops take it from me and give it back to the original owner. How do i get legally refunded by the thief ?in moses law a man steals something he would have to repay the victim 7 times as penalty

Yes, ... Super Carry is dying a well deserved death. It was EXTREMELY shortsighted for only TWO practical Carry guns to be made available. .. AND EVEN WORSE, Federal was so greedy that they overpriced Super Carry by 20% compared to 9MM. That's a stupid way to market a new unfamiliar product.
@user-zw4ip8bl1z

HMM ?!? ... Just lately, Pincus and a few other lesser popular gun KZbinrs are suddenly trying to gin up new interest in this "Edsel" of a cartridge. I suspect that there's more than a few ammunition distributors, as well as Federal itself, sitting on a "metric shit-ton" of this failed turkey of a cartridge. They want to get rid of it before the next inventory cycle, before which time they will need to basically give it away, or be forced to pay exorbitant fees for having too much inventory. 🤔

I watched a video from a former sheriff who’s now a range instructor say you should never oil inside the two small holes on the side of the bolt carrier. He claimed those holes are gas ports and should never have oil inside them. Then again I have seen people say you should shoot a couple drops of oil in them.

The Scout Rifle is the survival rifle. It’s supposed to protect you no matter what from no matter what. That rifle will outlast your intricate lever actions. It’ll outlast your complicated autoloading rifles. As long as that bolt locks in. The bullet has a chamber and a pin to fire that cartridge. It’ll fire. Freeze tests kill most guns Mud tests kills almost all guns Dry dirt test kills almost all guns. But at the end of it all. You know, I know. That the Bolt Rifle will be the last to break. Every time.
