Quite possibly one of the greatest songs ever done Maybe if just for one recording they changes just (1) line of the lyrics Especially given the last few weeks/years ) If Joan of Arc Had a heart Would she give it as a gift To such as me Who longs to see A religion of peace ( As no such religion ) Her dream's to give Her heart away Like an orphan on a wave She cared so much She offered up Her body to the grave

If I had to pick a song of Numan's I love best, Metal would have to be it. Have always loved Gary Numan's music. It's futuristic, mysterious.

This is a blast from the past, it takes me back to the days of my new life as a husband, Starting thinking that my wife was something special and how my new life was something to look forward to. It was great for thirteen years , two lovely children, a girl born first then a son and then alcohol destroyed all this as my wife took to drinking, we started to drift apart and then a divorce in 1996, I got to have my two children back in late '96 as my ex wife attacked my daughter during a drinking session with her new friends. I was given custody of both children through the courts, and my exwife was reprimanded , shortly after this she was moved to a flat by her local council and I was told to take a parenting course through the same court that granted my divorce, her solicitors had recommended this course of action,, as they said that I wasn't ready to look after my children. I had been a father to my children for 13 years, supporting my wife then a divorce and then I'm told to take a parenting course, I had to take both my children back to their original schools as my wife had a solicitor who had helped her take my children to a town thirty miles away. This was away to get my children back to normality, two years later after my daughter had taken her final exams at her old school we left this county and moved back to my fathers locality, This is now our home close to the children's grandfather who lived in Hampshire, all these memories had come flooding back because of this iconic song,

had the 12" of this when it came out, and it was great, but this! What a performance!! Shivers down my spine the whole time, and I find myself applauding at the end with my headphones on whilst others here in the kitchen wonder what on earth I'm watching. Something truly fantastic, that's what! Thank you for uploading this treasure, and thank you OMD
