I couldn’t understand how Priestley was able to beat up Ashley so easily. She could have taken him with her background. It’s as if she was allowing him to whoop her butt. Please explain this to me.

You mean why was she so easily able to overpower sophisticated metrosexual men? But was just as easily overpowered by a sleazy psychopathic drug addict? Easy. For two reasons…. I think Gary immediately recognized her for who she was. A predator….just like him. I’m positive that he’d killed before as well. More than once. She was a misandrist…she hated men. Gary was a misogynist. He hated women. He also saw that she was sure she’d outsmart him. So he played the part of the brain dead smack head who couldn’t even be bothered to take a shower to the hilt. SHE was going to be HIS next victim. She just didn’t know it yet. He was a lowlife drug addict. She was a sophisticated black widow. But they were both cut from the same predatory cloth…soulless shark like. But because she underestimated him she didn’t see HE was onto HER and this time it was her TARGET who was one step ahead of HER.
