I haven’t understood how mostert is a dollar. Take away a ton of touchdowns and he’s still a low end rb1. I’m lost on how he’s so cheap

This is the roster i built in my main home auction league. I’m pretty stoked about it! I tiered down to get solid tier 2 players at every position instead of overspending because the top 8 guys went for wayy too much early. A Richardson, Gibbs, Mostert, AJ Brown, Garrett Wilson, Kincaid, Rashee Rice. Bench: Chase Brown, Keon Coleman, Diontae Johnson, Brian Robinson, and Jared Goff. What do you think?

Bad keeper year so I’m forced to wait for deals

I think Chase Brown is good but many people are sleeping on Zack Moss who is being very underrated. Brown is not good in pass protection and while Brown is faster Moss runs harder and has proven himself against top NFL defenses.

Great episode! I really like Mark's approach especially of early nominations and budgeting. So, so, SO many sources say "Just nominate players you don't want!" I love that you guys put some time and thought into your answers.

What are your nomination strategies? Lets here them!!

I have a sort of simple way to decided whether to nominate a player I want to draft, or nominate I player I want to avoid. If I am among the teams with the most money, I nominated players I am targeting. Once I have won some players, and I am among the teams with the least amount of money, that's when I nominate players I am hoping to avoid.

Where can I find SF Dynasty Auction AAVs for players? Can't seem to find it anywhere.

I rank the players (usually starting from consensus rankings and then adjusting manually) and keep them in a master list, color coded by position, so I can quickly glance at clusters of positions. I draw a line every 12 players (we have a 12-man league) and give each group an alloted budget (think snake draft). I keep the "true" player tiers in my mind (this is just where experience and study comes in). After that, I'm ready to rock. The reason I group by 12, instead of tiers, is because its easier to keep the accounting when the bullets are flying. If I plan to spend $50 on a "2nd round" caliber guy, but I end up spending $55, I can quickly calculate how much I need to "borrow" from the remaining rounds. I approach it like a snake draft. I plan to get a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th round pick. The big difference is, I can move in and out of each "round" on the fly. If I decide to skip the "3rd round", I'll just shift my budget around.

I agree with Mark that Salary Cap / Contract is the ultimate GM version of fantasy football. I just did a startup Auction for a Salary Cap / Contract league. I was able to get the QB 1, RB 1 and TE 1 in my redraft rankings, and still managed to get a great WR corps. Mahomes on a 4-year contract, CMC on a 3-year deal, and Kelce as a 1-year rental.

I run a 1QB and a SF keeper league. They are so fun.

Keeper leagues are way more fun in auction then snake.

I’ve given up on par sheets. I never stick to the budget. I realized I’m better when just winging it.

🤓 I add "#ECR/#ADP" to the right of each player on my draft list. Helps see values during live drafts when comparing who's left under each position (I cross off as each are picked - helps a TON w live offline drafts). + can guess where leaguemates might follow the site ECR blindly in future rounds, ex Yahoo.

Curious how you guys would allocate a $200 budget in my league. I’m in a 10 team 2QB 1/2 ppr TE 1.0ppr league. We start 2QB 3RB 4WR 1TE and 1Flex. Thoughts?

I like Najee especially at his position but the hiring of Smith makes me want to stay away. I like Cook because he is on a high scoring offense.
