That first tone would be good for some good basic rock, maybe southern rock like Lynyrd Skynyrd. I'm honestly not sure P90's would be my first choice for pickups to put through this thing, if you're trying to get a real metal type tone. I had one of these before and I was playing my 1980 Gibson V2 through it. For those not familiar with that particular guitar, it has boomerang shaped pickups that Gibson made particularly for that guitar. They look cool, but they're kind of a funky design. They are like a dual single coil. They have two short coils, three strings for each, molded into the pickup at a 30 degree angle. So it has two coils for the humbucking effect, but it still sounds like a single coil. The guitar has a very Strat like sound. But the exclusive boomerang shape makes it impossible to replace the pickups with anything else. I bought this guitar new and have owned it for 44 years. Anyway...my point was that in my very limited experience, this particular overdrive worked much better with a good, dual coil like a DiMarzio or SD. I had tried the one I had with a Jackson JS32 with stock pickups (which aren't terrible) and it had a much thicker, fatter, higher gain tone than my single coil V2 did. As I did not have anything like that at the time (I do have a 1978 25/50 Anniversary Les Paul that I purchased the same year I go the V2 and have also owned for 44 years, but I honestly didn't like the old school humbucker sound through the 5150), I got rid of the pedal. Now I have a Jackson of my own so I will be purchasing the EVH 5150 again today. I also have a TC Electronic Dual Wreck preamp that does a very nice job of recreating that Dual Rectifier sound that so many prog metal guitarists have these days. It really shines if it has a really good overdrive in front of it. I mean, the sound is literally almost indistinguishable from a real dual rectifier... without the $5,000 price tag.

pickups do definitely matter, I tried some seymour duncans on my old Eclipse and decided to go back to the EMGs because they gave me the sound I wanted while the SD's never did

Zoom spareparts are very hard to get comparing to GT series..zoom is good for distortion but acoustic cleans are better in boss GT series..GT 6 sound far better than any zoom series

Most of the sound depends on the guitar quality

Both sound like ass clean. No ring. No chime. Just a dull thud. These pups are strictly for distortion and there are better choices that will give you good cleans too.

I use Sennheiser and AKG mics when I run live sound. I also use Blue enCore 200's on certain vocalists. I'm not a fan 58's.

Nice demo, even better playing. Supadrive is a Bluesbreaker clone as far as i know. i think they are amazing for the price. i have the delay for 3 or 4 years and still working.
