I think you should give Fender acoustics a second look. I've owned an F240a (the upgrade model to the one in the video) for 30 years. It sounds great (everyone who plays it is surprised at how good it sounds because everyone underrates Fenders!), looks great, and I just had its first major service (refret), after which the luthier said it's good for another 20 years without any concerns. The build quality is top-notch (made in Japan): there's no glue bleeds inside, all the kerfing and bracers are notched to fit properly and cleanly,. It had only one factory deficiency which he took care of. The MIJ/MIK guitars are extremely good value. Mine has abalone inserts for the nameplate and fretboard inlays, and rosewood fretboard and bridge. It's also fully bound with 4-layer purfling, including the headstock and neck (only single-layer but fully bound), has a 1-piece mahogany neck, and Gotoh tuners ($100 alone, and are considered upgrades from Fender's own tuners as well as Grovers). Basically, for want of a "Made in the USA" sticker, you get a guitar of excellent quality with features rivaling MIUSA builds that cost a couple hundred dollars more.

That's an old good guitar, I have it since 1988. Sound good. But I don't know if you can fine one today.

I know I'm replying to a very old message, but I have owned the sister model to this guitar, the F240A, for 30 years, and I can definitely recommend picking one up. Just take it to a luthier as soon as you get it so they can sort out any issues - it is a 40-year-old guitar, after all. Age notwithstanding, the build quality (in mine - can't speak for all of them) is top-notch, and they have features usually found on guitars a few hundred dollars more expensive (fully-bound, including front, back, headstock, and neck, 1-piece neck, abalone inserts and Gotoh tuners, which are considered "upgrade" tuners). I upgraded mine with a front strap button, and bone nut, saddle, and bridge pins. Sounds great, is nice and loud and has great tone. If you're still considering buying one, consider this an endorsement. I don't know how available they are, as it seems many of the previously for-sale items seem to be sold out. Good luck!
