You did a comprehensive city tour in Cartagena, enjoyed it a lot. The road from Santiago de Tolú to Cartagena was in a relatively good condition, relatively short, through a flat landscape. Thanks a lot for the video, greetings from a road-tripper from Germany!

Beautiful long trip through a very mountainous region, with huge elevation changes. The road is a mix of a modern road with tunnels and high bridges and a curvy slow mountain road. In Apartadó we are deep in Northern Colombia, close to the coast, near the border with Panama. Thanks for the video, greetings from a road-tripper from Germany!

Nice short drive into Medellín, passing by the aurport. The tunnel between the airport and the city is impressive, they had no space in the valley and built the airport about 1000m higher. Also very nice views from above the city, when you descend to it, after the tunnel. Traffic in Medellín was awful, big traffic jams and many people on the streets. Thanks for sharing the drive, greetings from a road-tripper from Germany!

Wonderful 3 days trip, through the very green landscape in Central Colombia, with many elevation variations. I was impressed how big the theme park Hacienda Napoles is, definetely a nice destination. Had a great pleasure watching the video, learned a lot about Colombia while watching these videos, thanks a lot, greetings from a road-tripper from Germany!

A huge ammount of trucks on this route. After the drive through Bogota, we start a big descent, through a forrested green landscape to Villeta. I am catching up with your videos, now you have just about 10 months of advance, as you did a bigger pause in Bogota. Thanks for sharing, greetings from a road-tripper from Germany!

The ammount of roadworks on the route is incredible, I think in 1 year from now we will have a very decent highway on this route. The terrain is quite difficult, with a big climb, from about 300m to over 2600m close to Bogota. The route has some tunnels and high bridges, and the ammount of traffic is very high. Thanks for the video, greetings from a road-tripper from Germany!

Cali looks quite good, the city definetely changed a lot during the last 20 years, from the gritty and dangerous drug cartel city to a modern one, with many things to see and do. The oute from Popayan was also nice, the countryside is very green on the way. Thanks a lot for sharing the drive, greetings from a road-tripper from Germany!

Me encantan tus videos. saludos.

A relatively short drive, good dual carriageway road with nice rolling hills landscape, We cover high altitude differences, between 1800 and 3100m. Colombia looks really nice, the country really developed a lot after the end of the civil war. Thanks a lot for sharing, greetings from a road-tripper from Germany!

We are almost in Colombia, Ecuador made really a good impression, Quito has an amazing position, extended over about 1000m altitude from the lower to higher neighborhoods. Infrastructure is also quite good, with many freeways. After Quito you drove on the high plateau in the middle of Ecuador, reaching the border town of Tulcan in 2 relaxing days. Thanks for the video, greetings from a road-tripper from Germany!

Sounds interesting. As someone not quite so far travelled, but moving in a similar direction (taking cars of my own to other continents, then drive), plus seemingly a number of years older than you, I have a certain 'headstart' in knowing what matters health-wise. You know, we can't go on and pretend that things will just keep going: Old age will catch up sooner than expected, and no regular doctor's check will change that. However, things can actually go on for an extended period at a decent quality-of-life rate, provided you do the right thing. The one thing that makes all the difference is your weight. If you reach and then maintain your ideal weight (18.5 BMI), then you fullfil the one requirement for an extended life where you feel fine. You get there through diet change (reduce carbs and cals, and not just a bit), plus exercise. The first half yields the weight, the second overall health. - Happy travelling!

Michael I must say that travelling for so long takes a toll on people, especially us oldies, I’m now 60. I'm finding it very hard to get decent meals like home-cooked meals and rely heavily on restaurants and unfortunately takeaway meals such as McDonald's and subways this is due to time factors. For example, arriving at 10:00 in the morning in a small town and the only food restaurant open is McDonald’s or Burger King. I was very sick and Bolivia and Peru as I had Salmonella poisoning from chicken I ate. I was limited to only eating vegetables and I was fortunate enough to go to a Chinese restaurant most nights serving vegetable soup which was quite good considering how sick I was. I'm a little bit worried about eating in third-world countries with poor hygiene standards, but that's travelling. I always look for crowded restaurants they seem to be the best. just remember when you travel 100,000 km in 3 years everything starts to break down, everything in the car is starting to break. For example, Electronics are starting to break on most items including cameras, drone, bags, and even my passport is starting to get worn out including myself. I'm very fortunate that my partner is a doctor who takes care of me and tells me what drugs to take and the way of medications and antibiotics can easily be prescribed.. I'm heading back to Australia in two weeks for more medical checks, dentist appointments, medical procedures, an optimist, and of course, to see family (and the dog). Steve from Australia.

Nice drive, unfortunately it was too cloudy to see the Cotopaxi Peak, I suppose there are great views to it during clear days. Quito is very nice, interesting how the city was built on the not very wide mountainous plateau in the middle of the country. The Andes are very thin in Ecuador, sometimes less than 100km wide, between the big flatlands in the east and west. Thanks for the video, greetings from a road-tripper from Germany!
