Why cook the potatoes? just cut them up and add them to the potting mix. They break down anyway;

Alternative to bone meal = egg shells for calcium + left over corn cobs or really cheap dog food for phosphorus. Thank you for sharing your gardening tips.

If possible add air to the mix to create a gental bubbling. Thks increases oxygen content maximising to production of benefical biologicals.

That does not change soil structure. That's a false claim. All it does is add bacteria to the soil. Even the NPK is very low because that's just diluted compost tea. Urine is 100X more nutritious than that, so just pee in your plants to improve their natural nutrition. If you don't already have a very organic soil then this won't help you much with the microbes as they will have nothing to break down.

In my opinion gardening like this creates a bond between the gardener and garden much stronger than tilling and using synthetic fertilizers.

You don't seem to know what you are doing, with what you were adding to the soil Orange peels, as with all citrus peels, kill the earth worms

I add huge amounts of citrus peels to my compost and the worms thrive.

- Bone meal - Neem cake - Charcoal, fine - Compost to activate the charcoal Mix. Level the soil. Water the soil until it’s moist, not soaked. Keep the soil moist for the next 7 days.

Use the potatoes to give the bacteria diabeetus. Then they'll be too fat to leave the garden.

Fabulous idea! I’ll be collecting bottles to get ready for summer… I like that they can be moved around at the end of the plants life. Different veggies need different amounts of water, and I’ve found that permanent irrigation systems can be problematic ( and also expensive). This is perfect for a small back yard. Thanks 😎🌿
