I also own super meteor 650 and bike has done 3200km….apart from 1st service i have visited service centre 7 to 8 times just to get rid of annoying small issues…. Bike is awesome no doubt but reliability issue is also a point to be considered before purchasing RE product I used to own honda cbr250r & i never faced any kind of issue with my bike

Took a test ride of sm650 and shotgun in city traffic. Super meteor was more relaxed to me even in city traffic at low speeds only when is complete stop at red light felt the weight of bike. On the other hand shotgun felt more engaging not relaxing as sm650 but fun. just hop on it n pull the throttle. Booked the shotgun for that. Super meteor is a great bike to ride. Just hit the gym n lift weights. Heavy bike would feel the best. Sat on a bike after 10 years n these 650’s were easy. Sold my 350 10 years back because of not much power

Bro, if your motorcycle is fine and having only this type of issue, then pulg off the power supply relay, put it back again, push it properly and everything will be fine. All models of Enfield have this same issue of sudden power supply cut. It happens due to major or minor, any kind of vibration which leads to loose connection of relay. If your bike running smoothly and suddenly you feel the bike is misfiring then remove the fuel pump relay and refit it properly. One of the major problem of all royal enfield motorcycles is that they just ignore the wiring management and quality of their motorcycles even it is new generation or premium segment motorcycle like SM 650. Just read the manual or ask any technician to confirm which relay is for what function and do it yourself. Sometimes they just replace the relay for no reason at all while the problem is due to loose connection. Trust me, if you own a royal enfield motorcycle then you will eventually become a mechanic yourself (Personal Opinion). But one good thing is that all their models are relatively simpler to repair compared to other brands. Just give it time.

If you have spent close to 5 lakh rupees then why not add a few lakhs more and get the mighty kawasaki w800?. One of the best bikes you can buy currently and teh only bike with a water cooled engine. Plus no one can argue about its reliability. Its made like a tank. Impeccable build quality. But I still like the super meteor 650. But these issues are definitely upsetting. Its supposed to be the flagship royal enfield bike.

I think people who don't know basics about mechanical or electrical stuff shouldn't get mid or high end motorcycles. I would have checked the fuse box or battery connection, before making a rant video. I'm not an RE fan by any means, just saying that things can go bad anytime on any motorcycle, so learn some stuff and be ready. I know we can't do much if there's a serious problem, but most of the time its a simple battery connection or blown fuse.

To remove kick start from a motorcycle, its wiring and electricals should be impeccable. But its not the case with RE. I own a Thunderbird 500 (2019) and its low beam bulb holder burned the wiring on its own. Got it fixed from Karol Bagh, Delhi and simultaneously installed a BS3 switch to turn the AHO off. I love their motorcycles but small negligence like this is very common.

Bhai he has spent a significant amount for a bike then why shouldn't he judge the bike. He has every right to abuse the bike . If a company cannot provide best experience for its flagship bike then it should not promote it as a premium riding bike.

I understand your frustration but its a machine breakdowns to honge hi, you’ll have to be calm and find a solution, get to know your bike.

Bhai gaadi ko gaali mat doh itna, thoda common checks kar lo. And keep some basic tool handy to check the battery and spark plugs if you're travelling alone. But completely understand your frustration when you're stuck somewhere tired and alone.

Touchwood man, saddens me to see you scolding your own machine! Even a BMW or any international brand breaks down I’ve seen it while en route Goa. It’s your riding style majorly and unfortunately unlikely it would breakdown on itself. I’ve completed a Goa ride from Bengaluru and so have many across the country. It’s understandable why they have given RSA as an option. Vehicles do breakdown sometimes.🤷🏾‍♂️
