Whomever posted this...THANK YOU! So many great memories of being in this band. I THINK I'm the sousaphone in the middle at the end. I thought we had 3 but evidently we didn't. Bill Sinz was the other one, he was first chair and I brought up the rear!

I remember that show

This was my freshman year at Alabama. I remember one of the games this show was on national television. I think we played Kentucky that game. This was a special show for me because it was my first year in the Million Dollar Band.

Awesome show. Your band director (Bill Connell) was my band director at Spring Valley High School 2 years prior to this and we put the same show on the field but with different drill. Stirred up some great memories.

Something about McGavok High School. There’s something in the water in that school zone. Annnd amazing directors like Rick Murphy, Jeff Beckman. The legacy is a great one.

I was at this competition in 1982 in the Northmont Band. I seem to recall it snowed during the competition. Anyone else remember? It did not stick, but it was the only time I was at MTSU.
