No wheel replacement or refinishing. They cleaned-up quite nicely considering the huge amount of caked-on filth and brake dust. Many hours of detailing went into this old 'Wing but I enjoy doing this kind of work.

The wheels were installed sometime in the 90s shortly after it was painted so it certainly does have the look of that era. I did the detail work right after the current owner bought it. Many days of polishing the black paint back to its former glory. I think it would look good with a nice set of Kelsey-Hayes chrome wire wheels or old school Cragar's.

@@Preston_Turdball I think it would look classic in chrome wheels that are the standard hubcapless wheels on normal car of the era. Like they did with the wheels in the film American Grafitti.

I don’t mind if they compliment the car. These are a bit much for me. I can find a better wheel. I would replace the wheels and add a slightly fatter sidewall tire in the back.

Superior Products Aluminum Brightener diluted 4:1, #0000 steel wool and an Active 2.0 electric pressure washer. I use this method only on wheels that are damaged by brake dust pitting, staining and corrosion.

I agree that there are some design similarities between the 5th generation Celica and 2nd generation MR2. In my opinion, the 5th gen Celica is an under-appreciated car. I rarely see a nice example of one nowadays.

Thank you! The mid-section of the bumpers is painted with a technique that I learned to some-what simulate the look of carbon fiber using automotive paint materials. The satin black textured finish on the top and lower section of the bumpers is truck bed coating. I used adhesive vinyl striping tape to accentuate the color separation.
