I wasnt expecting much when I first started the I7 anime years ago, but its had its hooks in me ever since. You had a great way for putting the reasons why into words. I just wish more people gave it a chance 🥲 happy 9 years, IDOLiSH7!

Great! Wonderfully described and explained. ❤❤ I recently stumbled across this series by accident and am already a fan. Looking for an opportunity to watch this series. It's profound, but also funny and you can immediately identify with the characters. I'm personally experiencing Momo's story first hand, for example.

This lowkey made me cry at the end lol. i7 is so unbelievably special to me. It really was my gateway into idol projects/joseimuke games. I watched i7 as the first season aired, I was in eighth grade and 13 /14 years old. I had given idol anime a chance in the past with utapri, but i dropped that after a few eps and never thought I’d find an idol anime i liked. That is until i7. I was so unbelievably in love with this show, i remember being so excited when vibrato was announced, and for season 2. However, around the time Vibrato started airing, I lost interest. But, it was my gateway into liking one of my biggest hyperfixations ever, enstars (unfortunately). And through that I got into more and more joseimuke games and music projects! But around 2 or 1 year ago, I remembered how fond I was of i7. I remembered my love for Gaku, and decided I wanted to catch up and be into it again. Boy am I glad I did. A few months ago, I started from the beginning, rewatching season 1 before watching anything I missed out on in the several years. And boy am I glad to have watched it now that I’m an adult w media literacy! (Lmao) I havent binged an anime like this in a looooong time. And despite being a busy college student, I’m almost halfway through season 3. Frankly, I love this series more than ever before, maybe even more than enstars! I’m now 20 years old turning 21 in December, so around the same age as most of the characters, which I think really helped in making me love it lots, as I relate much more to the characters and their struggles now. And I also appreciate the love for the crews and stuff as you mentioned, as someone who is studying film and wants to be a behind the scenes person. Anyways sorry for the essay I just felt really sentimental watching this. I genuinely hope more people give i7 a try. (also i love gaku help i might be starting a SECOND whole ita bag dedicated to this man after buying so much merch of him in japan lol) ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜

Idolish7 is like my favourite anime, the songs slap, the story's really good, all the characters arereally funny and have distinct and fun personalities, it doesn't get the credit it deserves (the game sucks though they need an overhaul badly)

It was ahead of its times. Adding a queer couple so naturally into a show and not making it the centre of focus that OH they’re gay but instead OH this is a story which is about people who happened to be gay, healed something in my queer heart. We’re people. Normal people sound day to day things. And would like to be represented as such.

Yuri On Ice came out when I was in Middle School. I was 12/13 years old, and it was everything to me. I had just realized I was bisexual(and would eventually realize I'm also genderfluid), but was also surrounded by conservative views, and was beginning to harbor those views. Seeing Yuri On Ice while it was airing changed a lot for me and how I viewed the world, and myself. Recently, I rewatched it with a friend who had never seen it. Although there were some... questionable scenes regarding a certain Italian skater, it really held up to how I remembered it. My friend loved it a lot, and of course, the day after we finished, the movie was canceled. She was devastated, I kind of expected it, but yeah. Amazing video :)

Same. I still have a tiny bit of hope YOI will be saved and given to another studio. Mappa just refuses to make it and this YOI project is done, but hopefully other future YOI projects are still possible. Or at least what was already done will be released at some point down the line. Though, I’m also getting used to YOI being forever a 1 season show with just the special and nothing more. I had figured there’d be no YOI as well. It’s been 7 years and I saw it get taken from MAL database. It didn’t seem like a good sign.

Aaaand it's over. JUST five hours ago they announced that the movie isn't coming out, ever. They canceled the production. :( I guess I am not too surprised, even though I never even knew how many things - like the merch and Kubo sensei herself - disappeared, _because_ the fandom (or at least the part I was in) has always been so loud and active and wonderful. I've been rewatching the anime every year like I do with the Lord of the Rings trilogy, that's how massive of an impact it had on me (and my now fiancée with whom we sort of see ourselves in Yuuri and Viktor, and always will, a little bit). Nevermind though how we are not getting a movie but it is in fact very strange how they just stopped with the merch and.... Kubo has that crying pfp... Times changed and we changed and (hopefully) grew up a little since then but eh, it still breaks my heart a little :')

Is Lord Of The Rings good even if I’ve never read the book?
@Nemamka
@Nemamka 7 ай бұрын
@@ting-ting7001 To this day there is a lot of argument about the directorial and aesthetic choices, comparing book and movie. It cannot be denied, reading Tolkien's own words is a very different experience. But overall... there is so much heart and soul poured into the trilogy. I would say they are wonderful movies, even if I know there are interesting characters that had to be left out, or storylines a little more dramatized for the Epic™ feeling, you know? I recommend to watch them extended version, and original HD, not the remastered 4K. The old colors, the vibes, the film grain, the CGI too, they were all an absolute achievement in 2000-2003 production. I first saw them when I was 8-10 years old, and it honestly shaped my personality. I do not much care about the Bechdel test, the LotR trilogy showed me: the strongest men AND women I still look to for inspiration; the most humble friendships; and an indestructible, cheerful hope in the darkest of times. I believe that works in the movies just as well as in the books :))

Lots of funny scenes and emotional scenes. I also love the songs not just the IDOLiSH7 songs but the others too. I'm really glad I have watched this anime, and it's the first time I become a fan of an idol group and it's a fictional group

I used to hate skating. Back in 2017 i was in an ice rink with my class. I was bad at skating but it was okay for me. The rink looked like there was a big part and in left and right there was a chennel. And I went to the corner of one of these chennel it was very painful and that was the point where i said i hate this sport. Until i saw yuri on ice. I watched it because i tought it will be a boring yaoi anime. But when i watched it i shoked that was the best anime what i saw and now in 2024 i know everything about figure skating and i watch every event from this sport.

as a fan of YOI since i was 11-12 and am now 18, it really is sad to see how the anime has just kinda faded away into the dust and how MAPPA became the very thing it set out not to be. working conditions in these anime studios should be talked about more. their workers are overrworked, tired and underpaid. I really hope they take better care of their workers with the amount of money they've surely been making from JJK, AOT etc. :/ ANYWAYS, oh YOI how i loved you <3 im just gonna gush for a sec: i watched all 12 episodes in like one day and subsequently became obsessed with it, the amount of times i watched ''cracks'', edits, cosplays and vine compilations of the characters (': i even tried to pick up ice skating (i fell and cried, never again LOL) i really hope one day when MAPPA maybe isn't as big they pick YOI back up cause it while it isn't my cup of tea anymore, my little 12 year old heart can't handle another ouran BUT a girl can dream that maybe another studio will pick them up and give them the 2nd seasons those shows deserve. (btw huge shoutout to my ex best friend who gave me a Makkachin box during the first month of us being friends, still have it! you were also my gay awakening lol)
