Thank you. Yes, I have updated the video description with links. I also have few small 104 cases for overflow that I'm deciding to keep or sell or maybe hold to swap back in later. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer.

Really nice! It's great to see and hear the Bartender in action, and not just being showcased or talked about. A friend of mine showed me how he likes to patch in some LFOs into the Pan on every other channel or so on the mixer to create a sort of "surround sound" panning effect through speakers and especially headphones. It's really neat that you can add more channels later too, which pretty much has me sold on it. I have a mixer outside of the rack, but not inside where you can really open things up even more. Thanks for sharing with us! Happy Patching!

What sold me was the price! It's less than half of what every other mixer module is charging plus, it's just the right size for starting out.

@@facundofontela316 please feel free to use whatever you wish from what I have uploaded as of 18NOV24. As long as you don't sell it and you give credit. That's all I ask. As for why I have this? I was saving money for a house but there are no houses in my area and the ones I that I used to be able to afford are now out of reach. So, to cure my depression I decided if learn how to make music. I just couldn't stand to do it all in PC/Mac because I've been using them for school and work since the 90s and can't stand them anymore. Hands on with modular is much more interesting to me. Of course, if I had musical education or training, I'd probably be making much better music but with modular (or free VCV rack app) anyone can make lovely stuff. And that is why I started - you don't need to be Hans Zimmer.

Thank you. I don't have any background in musicianship, but I have been very slowly gaining a few subs as I learn and mess around, not always making the most musical of creations. I'm actually kind of surprised that people seem to like those rather unmusical creations that are more like sound explorations. My wife and I agree that this is one my better, more complete songs I have made that went beyond just a short repetitive beat. After I slowly got up to 35 subs, I lost two immediately after posting this, which I thought was my best lol. I guess they just wanted to see me make weird noises!

You're doing a really good job! That's a problem with these modular systems, which multiply all by themselves. I've reached my limit and have no more space (one desk is full). I've decided that if I want to buy something new, I have to sell something first.

@@milan-murratti that's a great idea! Hit the limit and then force an out with the old, one for one exchange concept in action. I got GAS with Hiking equipment years ago, and had to do the same. "Can't get the ducking effect to work on the low pass filter setting. Is that by design? If you know, please let me know!" Can you expand on this please? Ducking should working in either LP or HP. The switch just changes the type of filter being used on the sidechain. If you're in LP mode and it's not ducking, do you have the filter turned all the way counter-clockwise? If you do then you'd be filtering out all of the sidechain signal. The same would be true in HP mode with the filter knob turned all the way clockwise.

@VinceFinemMusic
@VinceFinemMusic 10 ай бұрын
So a Behringer Chaos is not a sound source. It's a sequencer that produces 2 things: CV for modulating 1V/Oct pitch. And gates that are used to open and close envelopes. (Like all things modular you can route those voltage and gates to anything to experiment but pitch and envelopes are the most straightforward here.) The drum sounds themselves are coming from the SoundForce S-LD and S-909 modules. They are very simple one one-shot samples. A trigger goes in and a sound sample comes out.
@VinceFinemMusic
@VinceFinemMusic 10 ай бұрын
Oh and the fm drum, if I'm guessing correctly the drum you're talking about, is coming from the Behringer Brains but I don't remember what setting it was. Also, the Behringer Chaos is a clone of the Mutable Instruments Marbles. The Behringer Brains is a clone of Mutable Instruments Plaits. You can get a better understanding of what they do by looking up info on them, since Behringer either doesn't create manuals or they make very poor ones for their cloned gear.

Metropolix is my favorite sequencer. Try saving a sequence that you like to save a slot in a bank. Then, make some slight changes to the sequence and save that to another slot in the same bank. Keep doing this and switch between save states and change stuff like what the control knobs do, and start adding mod lanes in the variations to do different things. Once you can pull some comprehensive sections out of a bank that flow together, then try setting up preset chaining to create a whole performance with sections and transitions.

It's quickly becoming mine but I don't have a whole lot of experience. After looking through videos on virtually everything on Modular Grid, I think the only other one in the running was the Erica Synths Black Seq. But if I spent anymore on this hobby my wife would kill me.

This has been, so far, the only song I recorded playing live. Everything else has been programmed on a sequencer or generated randomly from a module. I never learned to play an instrument as a child and now very much regret it. I think everybody should at least a little music education beyond primary school but it's not required in the US. hopefully there's still time to learn enough to at least play when something strikes a chord within me.

@@VinceFinemMusic I remember vaguely having an hour of music during my first year at primary school, now like Donkey's years ago. My parents didn't think I was musically gifted so I never learned to play anything. It didn't stop me from starting modular a few years ago.
