As a Texas fan, to me the SEC has been media hype ever since Saban came to Alabama. Even in the down period Texas has been through they have always played SEC schools close or beating them, once touchdown between Texas and eventual national champions LSU with our dollar store Tebow who couldn’t throw 25 yards. Then 1 point loss to Alabama a few years later. Other than coach transition years Texas has always been competitive with SEC schools and top ones at that. Now they are in the SEC they have that media hype in their advantage and the taps are open with NIL, things are looking very bright for Texas now.

I think if you ask anyone who is an Oklahoma fan whether BV is our guy or not, they will give you an emphatic yes. We love BV down here and are excited about the direction he is taking the team. Also I’m glad people are continuing to underestimate OU because I promise it’s going to light a fire under our guys and it will motivate them for each and every game. This 7.5 win total Vegas has for OU is an easy over if you follow the team closely and see what they’re building.

As an Alabama fan I wanted Georgia in the CFP. No way a team can go undefeated for over 2 seasons, lose 1 game (to a top 8 ranked team) and they are out! SEC still gets no respect. I won’t speak on other schools or conferences, but going through the SEC schedule is no walk in the park.

Saban changed from 5 down linemen to 4 after the first drive and doubled both receivers (one was the TE) and you guys did not score again until the fourth quarter. He chanced it that the four line men could stop the run, the did.

I think there’s at least one thing that Alabama fans and Georgia fans can agree on: many people (maybe the majority) care more about process than outcome when it comes to playoff team selection. If you want the most compelling games, then you have to pick the strongest teams. Georgia was one of the top 4 this year.
