Yeah, this guy's ratings are whack. Vitaiity's probably the best one in constructed (at least in Explorer/Pioneer) for being a 3 CMC that's on curve as a creature and has a great effect. It's a 3/3 mana dork on its own at minimum. It's the only one of the five that stands out from its alternatives. Innocence is good, but lackluster as a creature. It could be the same size as Vitality or a 2/4 and be just fine. Plus, 1/turn limitation is painful. Courage is too expensive for aggro and would have to be used as a combo piece. Curiosity is just kinda really awkward from its high CMC. Blue creature decks have better cards to be playing. Tenacity... is probably a lot better in Standard, in Explorer just play Vito, lol.

@@LymiaKanokawa I would give Curiosity more than that. Sure, it is expensive at 4 CMC, but it has the flexibility of being able to drop it at any point. For example, you attack with something and wait for what the opponent does. They let you through? Plop it on the table and draw right then and there. Do they block? Then keep it in hand, do something else, or wait until the end of their turn, all while threatening a counterspell that you may or may not have.

And it's another combo piece you can put in your life drain decks for more redundancy.

Not necessarily, I'd say each color can more easily deal with creatures than not. For example: Red can "Smite the Deathless" and exile it instead when it dies. No amount of hope will stop green from having it get elk'd on. White.... is white. Blue can just "Unsummon" it back to your hand. And Black's been doing rather well with creature removal that can also double as enchantment removal.

​@trevorjamieson8892, even if it's dealt with, it still comes back with the exception of exile. Plus, it costs 1 less than a sanguine bond. That sounds like a pretty good upgrade to me.

The 5 all see each other so 25, and the original also sees all 5 enter so actually 30 triggers there.

Since Unsummon was printed first, by your logic, Path to Exile is really white's Unsummon

Some stores get their hands on the products early and some of them like to make a little extra money, so they break the rules by ignoring release dates and sell early online or to people they trust to keep quiet. Some places might just not know for whatever reason. I’ve been to a gas station that sold a new Pokémon set a whole week before the release date.

Yes the other wicks die leaving you with only one, but you only need one to trigger the effect and deal the 32 damage to your opponents. Since they all enter at the same time they will trigger and see each other enter after that the legend rule kills them.

UNLESS, you use something like Helm of the Host to make a token copy of Wick that no longer has Legendary, and copy that, n which case, all the Wick tokens from Rite also don't have Legendary and stay in play. Plus, as you already have multiple Wicks in play, the impact is even bigger...

It wouldn't be commander damage because only combat damage counts towards that

My thoughts exactly, such an investment that can just be counter spelled or have the last Wick removed before sacking the snail unless you had even more mana for interaction.

"since the snail already exists", what if you don't, or someone bolts it in response? Will it just turn one of the triggers from +1/+1 to snail mode? Or would they all fizzle?

​​@@alexvian6199 so basically, since these are all technicallly on the stack, and its an if-Then/otherwise ability, what would happen is each wick ability would make a check. If there is no sail, then make a snail. If there is a snail, you buff the snail. So if you dont have a snail or your opponent bolts the snail like in your example youd just end up with a 30/30 snail
