Thanks I didn’t loosen the screws and snapped the little brackets, but this has fixed my door, I loosened all the screws and positioned the bolt and it locks perfectly now.

What will we do for dropped door? Same keys
@mauricecotton7885

You can add stainless Steel washers or plastic washers on the pin of each hinge to rise the door . Or if the has sagged. Meaning that the has dropped lower opposite to the hinge side. It can be risen up by adjusting the top hinge in and the bottom hinge out. I hope this helps you. If you are still having problems let me know and I'll post a short video on hight adjustment. If I get time and don't forget about it lol

I watched 5 other videos on this and they didn’t help, I watched yours and … job done ! I am a weirdo just like you ! Only thing I’d add is to slacken all three hinges before making any adjustments , then of course tighten them all up again when finished turning the Allen key(s)

Thanks Maurice - of course, slide the covers across! I just couldn't quite twig it until I saw you do it. Mine needed a little gentle encouragement with a flat head screwdriver to ease them across.

YOU ARE A LEGEND!!!!! But I must admit that I'm taking most of the credit here - for heading to KZbin and finding someone who knows the solution, and can explain it in simple terms that even a halfwit like me can follow. Success!! Many thanks.

Good on you in taking time to repair the pump, unfortunately most heating engineers don't bother they just put a new one on, my father always said if it can be fixed learn how to fix it. what symptoms was the boiler/burner throwing out, mine was showing resistance on one revolution of the spindle, probably bearings!

Hello i started to have the same problem 4 days ago , i found a couple of videos on how to fix the problem (make sure to like their videos if they were helpful to you) . Apparently the culprit here is the motherboard pins that are connected to your car through the wire plug in your instrument cluster. The soldering that holds those pins gets either whats called a cold solder joint or it gets corroded or cracked over time by vibrations. This causes problems like having low acceleration or your car not starting up at all to all sorts of speedometer or dash errors. You can do this various ways : 1. just scrub the joints with something like a small brush with some polishing compound just to remove the corrosion (this method only works if your solder joints are not cracked).@ this would be the lazy way. 2. solder each pin with your solder iron . @ 3. use a heat gun to heat up the board around that area , while protecting the rest of the board with some heat resistant material . You will need to be careful with that gun not to heat up the bard too much (it is not the safest way , but that`s how i fixed mine). There are a lot of tutotials on youtube on how to fix motherboard problems on Playstation units using a glue gun to re-solder the joints. @ but be careful with the heatgun , as you do not have a chip or microchip heated up like it this video bacause that chip has a lot of conections they need to be heated up a lot and that may damage your board , you only move your gun around until you see the solder liquefy then stop and let the board cool. This method is faster than soldering each pin and re-fluxes solder to all pins without causing a mess and be very precise. Here you will see how to take apart your Instrument Cluster but take it easy on the board of course. @ @ I guarantee that if you are careful removing the board and while using any of these methods, you will fix your problem 100% and save some money valuable time in the process . I hope this information this helped you. Stay healthy and best of wishes.

Was this originally a locomotive? Looks like it is or was a later built 30DL with a 3VSHL engine fitted. Did it have its gearbox and wheels when you got it or the hand start mechanism
@mauricecotton7885
@mauricecotton7885 4 жыл бұрын
Not so slow you are the first to spot it. It was a locomotive shunter it had a hand crank start. The engine came from a scrapyard and was bought by a retired excavator operator. I was asked if I could get it running for him. He just wanted to hear it running The hand start was killing us (both of us had health problems) and I made it electric start. It's a good job I did as all the injector's were rusted solid and it was a lot of work to get them working. I am sad to say that the owner passed away recently and I don't know what will happen to the engine now.

The cut was quite jagged due to excessive slop in the carriage. There was a large 1" or so section in the middle that appears to be over 1/16" wide which will make the part unuseable. Next time try 2 unistruts parallel to each other with a carriage that straddles them and incorporates less slop in it's movement.
@mauricecotton7885
@mauricecotton7885 4 жыл бұрын
Cool thanks for the good advice 👍 can you send me a link to your video I could learn lot's from you.😀 By the way the step in the cut in the middle was required in the part. And there's 0 slop in the carriage as the assembly has preload built in.😀🔥🤟

I would recommend the use of baking soda and water to be sure no acid remains on the metal. However in my personal experience I have not had any problems with just giving the metal a good rinse in just water and then drying it with a hot air gun before undercoat.
