I found your video helpful however, i will need some clarification. Can the 1yr of housejob in Nigeria cover for post graduate exposure in the 4 major departments house officers rotate in? Secondly when you say independent practice does it mean independent in the true sense of the word? Say one working as a medical officer in a general hospital? Thirdly, does the 1 year internship count as part of the minimum of 1-2 of independent practice or it is just 1-2 years of practice plus the housejob? I will appreciate your response

I’m not sure house job qualifies as independent practice as you’re working under supervision and only get your permanent license / registration after house job.

I am positive for canada, can I come as researcher and then clear license exams to work as doctor? Your response will be highly appreciated. *If yes what I can do in my country to increase the chance if getting hired as researcher in canada.

Thank you for your awsome video 😊 There is another requirement for approved jurisdiction pathway which is : Time in Practice requirement Along with successful completion of all applicable examination components, you must complete a minimum of 5 years of practice in the specialty in any jurisdiction with the final 2+ years of practice in a continuous practice location in Canada. You can then apply to the Royal College for assessment of your time in practice. You must work with the appropriate medical regulatory authority (MRA) to acquire a licence to practise in Canada and complete the minimum two-year requirement. If you complete all of the training requirements, examination components, time-in-practice requirements, and receive results from a successful assessment of time in practice in Canada, you will be eligible for Royal College certification and invited to join the Royal College as a Fellow. Would u please explain how difficult it is to get a job after passing the exam without having a license to practice in canada!

Hi tobi, im a img with 3 years of work experience in primary health care. I want to apply for residency in Canada. I have few questions. So it’ll be of great help if you clear these doubts😊 1. When should i apply for electives/ observer ship. Before giving mccqe1 or after. 2. What are chances of getting pr in Canada (my sibling works as nurse in Canada too)

1. Any time. The earlier the better, the application process can take a while. 2. You have to have PR status to be able to apply through CaRMS for residency.
