योगिनी, किती सुंदर, ओघवत्या शैलीत, ,अभ्यासपूर्ण,सुरेख निवेदन,खूप वेगळी माहिती,बोलणे ऐकत राहावे असे,खूप कौतुक वाटले,अवघड धनुष्य समर्थपणे पेलले.

A great way to honour a great musician. Jaijaiwanti played by Panditji is superb & has the nuances of Shajahanpur (Bishnupur?) Gharana.

Shahjahanpur ghar is the oldest sarod gharana, with no relation whatsoever with the bishnupur gharana, which to my knowledge does not have a sarod repertoire.

I was present in this particular concert. I am a Maihar fan while it comes to both sarode and sitar. Sarode is undoubtedly my most favourite. I wanted to learn this instrument since long. This particular jaijaiwanti made me so involved that I took the decision of learning sarode from Guru Pandit Narendranath Dhar and met him at his house. I will never forget this incident. This concert has given me such a great present that I would always be so grateful to its organizers. And my sarode is being made. 😊🏵️

It'd be great to listen to the lives of Legends, past & present, and stay tuned to modern innovations in Sarod (& other Indian Classical instruments) being done by young doyens of various Gharanas.
