Thank you for the great tutorial. This was the first owl i ever made, and it went successful! Although some steps were a little difficult, the steps were thoroughly explained and it was fun to make the cute little owl. And I have already subscribed to your channel! Keep up the good work! 👍🏻👍🏻

This is a brilliant tutorial as part of your series on shaping. I made the rat in tissue foil and in elephant hide to then learn how to shape the base model. I really learned a lot. Thanks so much. It is especially useful in this video when you point out e.g. which corner or edge of a fold is vital to be perfect whereas which corner or edge of that same fold can be less than perfect because it won't matter so much later.

Thanks so much for sharing this model and creating the tutorial. My favourite fold so far @quietmarverick! I took your advice from the start of the video and attempted it in 8cm x 24cm paper which looked so small I thought I'd have no chance but I used tissue foil which helped enormously to cope with the small scale and to achieve a brilliant look in the end. I was really pleased with the outcome. Thanks again.

@@danowulfI did it! I didn't have MC for the shaping, so I used a starch-water mixture. that didn't turn out well lol, so bought some MC, and folded it a second time. really fun project :D i also found that adding extra pleats where the square-paper should be on the CP makes a normal origami man hehe

Fantastic design 😎 Ive made many attempts at coming up with a monster type box pleat model with arms, legs, fingers and toes. Not had any success. This is perfect. Really versatile. Thankyou for sharing. Much respect for you skills ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It is very beautiful, very cute, however this video is like showing a child candy and not giving it to them. It would be better not to publish this, which has shades of arrogance.

Can you do complex models with tissue foil (like the ancient dragon), because when i try folding this specific type of paper the creases are not really accurate and also reversing folds is a nightmare. Really great tutorial btw

Is that an ordinary cutter? I tried with the cutter I have and it was dragging the aluminium foil too and the tissue paper was tearing from other sides and I couldn't cut it in a straight line.
@quietmarverick
@quietmarverick 2 жыл бұрын
Yes its just a sharp cutter but wasnt expensive. And the paper has to be very dry.
@Guttor
@Guttor 2 жыл бұрын
@@quietmarverick Thanks for the reply, great to see a channel owner still using the account after like a decade. What do you mean by very dry? Is the normal paper not that dry? Do I gotta put it in the Sun then try cutting?
@quietmarverick
@quietmarverick 2 жыл бұрын
@@Guttor Hi. Yes I still try to answer all friendly comments however I dont have time to make videos 😅 I only wanted to say that the glue has to dry out completely. But the paper dont have to be more dry than ordinary paper. I think your problem is either the cutter is not sharp enough or maybe there are small air bubbles between foil and paper? Or the glue is not dried out yet.

My favorite paper is colored printer paper, even if is a little simple, there are not many type of origami papers in my country.
