No offense but only Elvis can perform and sing that song and no one can imitate him. There's only one King!

Where is the Downstairs Ballroom?
@joenewbon
@joenewbon 6 ай бұрын
The Rhythm Riot (was at Pontins Camber Sands, before they recently closed). They had 2 ballrooms. The main one (upstairs) and the smaller one (downstairs) which is this one.

My Baby Left Me by the King is indeed the best ever. Also, what you call a Stroller is far from it. The Stroll was a cool slow grind dance. What you call a Stroller is actually just a Jiver.
@joenewbon
@joenewbon 5 ай бұрын
The Stroll has evolved and changed over the years. Especially here in the UK. It's alot different than the original stroll in the 50s. The rest of the rock n roll scene across Europe latched on to how we started doing it (probably 70's, during the revival era) and further beyond

Sorry, but the Stroll did not "evolve". It was and is a slow grind cool dance. What was done since the 70s is a different dance, nothing like the true Stroll. They look very different and are very different. The 70s dance, which you call the Stroll is a variant of the Slosh. You cannot change history.@@joenewbon

Midnight Special evolved from blues songs long before Big Joe Turner made a recording. "Crying" Sam Collins recorded a version in 1927 nearly 30 years before Turner.
