Great way to use the Carson wheels. They also have them in Chrome look and barring ore 12mm hex
@scotty555babe2 күн бұрын
Thanks, they virtually give the look I was wanting and yes they have a few different options 🙂
@DrizzDevelopments3 күн бұрын
Are they a larger diameter as well?
@scotty555babe3 күн бұрын
No, they're the same diameter, just wider "super single" the extra height came from the tyres 🙂

@ ok just makes the rim look a lot bigger than original! Nice upgrade 👍

You really do need to sort good ventilation because the burning will release vapours. I watch another youtuber that uses engravers and 3d printers and he started getting headaches. Turned out to be the fumes
@scotty555babe3 күн бұрын
The company do an enclosure for it which they said they'd send for me to do more videos with as I don't plan on using it again without adequate ventilation, the little one I gave my Dad but I'm more swayed to getting a 3d printer in honesty as it's probably more beneficial to my needs with the direction I'm taking my channel and future builds 🙂

If you ever get around yo buying s 3D printer keep me. In mind for a RHD Tamiya seat. I can’t pay the ridiculous prices I’ve seen?
@scotty555babe4 күн бұрын
I've recently had my little one out printing little parts and a larger one is now on my list as there's things I need for all my upcoming projects and it's way cheaper for me to buy a printer and do it myself, as you say... prices are ridiculous so I'll definitely keep you in mind or when you see one on the channel just let me know, I'll do you one for free 😉

Always good to see and remind us to look in our boxes of "stuff" and think a bit differently... Why not put trailer wheels not on trailers.. Great idea.. Keep em coming..
@scotty555babe5 күн бұрын
Thanks, Sometimes it's just those small simple out of the box ideas that work, I remember being at my Dad's looking at some on the shelf and the idea was there 🙂

I don't remember the name of the company but there is a company that makes an aluminum front wheel that looks real good. I have them on my truck !!!!!

There are some really good metal wheels out there. If you ever remember the name, drop a comment. Cheers 🙂

It's not something I've never really used on the trucks, however when I buy lesu tires, they sometimes come with them and I'll keep them in, but in general it's not something I use on these. 🙂

Whoop whoop Rusty. I like the look of the Carson wheels on the front, never thought of using a trailer wheel. Not a fan of black rims, hides the detail. Might have to get myself a ticket or two 👍

Hello dear, thank you for the comprehensive explanations you provide to the followers... My question is, can I use Tamiya oil for the small box next to you instead of other oils? Because I don’t have any other type... and I want to assemble a Scania 770 S
@scotty555babe5 күн бұрын
Thankyou, if your referring to the gearbox you would need grease my friend

@scotty555babe6 күн бұрын
You can't, it's handmade 👍
@Martini-w2j6 күн бұрын
@scotty555babe Do you have a video tutorial for making it?
@scotty555babe5 күн бұрын
@Martini-w2j no sorry, it was a club members build, if I remember correctly it's based on a mobility scooter, the body he scaled up but I can't remember what materials were used and the wheels he had milled out of aluminium, all the detail parts I'm unsure of too, if he was to ever return with it, I would like to talk to him on camera for folk like yourself to get a better idea... as thus build gauges a lot of interest 🙂

Seems like a 'needed' accessory would be an adjustable fan and stand to keep the fumes moving out. I think that maybe the slate didn't turn out better because of its uneven surface. As you demonstrated, the laser head has the tool to set it at its optimum distance from the item being engraved, so would perhaps have worked on a piece of flat slate as it did with the wood. Just a thought. It looks like an awesome bit of kit by the way, and I'm sure that hobbyists will love it. Another great video BTW...🎉
@scotty555babe6 күн бұрын
I agree it needs some sort of extraction and the slate makes sense being uneven, it's a fantastic but of kit in right hands, I'm not knocking the product but just stressing the point that it's not suitable for home use, I am going to give it a whirl at somepoint cutting a paint stand as it shouldn't take too long 🙂
