I have an 11 year old son, hes 0/2 on draw apps for coues. The father who is right there next to the muzzle coaching the kids is a rock star. Thats awesome to see.
@Organoutdoors12 сағат бұрын
The draw is definitely disappointing when that happens. Thats my brother, he does a great job with the kids and coaching them through the shot and reminding them of all the fundamentals we have practiced. Thanks for watching!

@Organoutdoors luckily, I've been able to take him to Texas where he has 3 deer with 3 shots. Unfortunately, he missed a javelina this year, and we had some close calls on turkey but no shots. He loves it though and that's all I care about.

Great hunt! I was about to fall asleep but came across these hunts and had to binge watch em all before I went to sleep. Curious what were the other bucks scores? I didn’t catch that.

The javelina call his dad made works like a charm. The first time using it called in a javelina that dropped down in a thick wash. A must-have if you plan on hunting these stinky pigs.

Watched this video again casted to my large TV. It is great you had your wife along, she is a great spotter. It sure was exciting. I was on the edge of my seat, I kept saying shoot him, shoot him, before he quartered away and you took the first shot. No pun intended, I'd probably nickname and refer to him as your "Boner" deer, LOL as you recount this story with family and friends. He sure has alot of bone mass.

Great Podcast Gents! Us hunters share a common bond brotherhood. Really enjoyed your talk with Eric Forrest. I really had to laugh that you both don't feel your age, with Eric at 28 and you Jared at 38. Odly enough I am 58. Let me tell you, at 58, I don't feel my age too, but my body is definitely starting to tell me my age. I can't do what you young bucks do now, as joints and cartilage are wearing down. Stay young brothers.

Great story, I am glad you shot a little 2x2 for your 1st deer. If your dad put you on a 120" Coues Deer with you killing it as your 1st deer, you probably would have had nothing really greater to look forward to and would have been spoiled for life with nothing to keep the fire 🔥 drive in you in a quest for a giant Coues. My 1st deer was a 2-1/2 year old 2x2 Mule deer.
