The currrent on the nameplate is FLC. So if motor is intended to run in delta FLC is IL is In. And then you do not multiply it with 1,73. In = FLC is the size of main contactor in delta connection. On the other hand, when using star delta, windings are split so each contactor inside delta carries only 0,58xFLC and sizing for main and delta are FLC / 0,58. Sizing for star is another reduce, because in star you have I(delta) / 0,58, which is (FLC / 0,58) / 0,58, and that is FLC / 3. Conclusion: when you have motor nominal in delta with DOL contactor is FLC (In), in Y/D main and delta is FLC / 0,58 and star is FLC / 3
