The biopsychosocial model has value, at least for me in counseling matters. There are various components that make us up as individuals. The fact that this model brings into play biology such as genetics in a person, can have an impact on individual. A person's social and environmental experiences can impact a person and influencing one psycholgoically.

They should show this to everyone in high school mandatory in the US lol 😂 It’s insane how many people are depressed or taking anti depressants. Plz vote for counseling to become mandatory as a class in school

Hey, I don't want to be disrespectful, but your society has to think about your testing system... In some countries, we test the knowledge, not the skills to think as the person who made the test... I mean... just think about it...

Guilt vs Shame...... book/TV series Atlas Of The Heart differenciates between the two and defines them.... Shame hurts and often causes a withdrawl from others, while Guilt leads to being sorry, trying to fix situation, apologizing, changing behavior, etc.

Hi there! Great video :) I have a quick question: Let's say someone approaches a worm and unconsciously reacts in fear, creating what they perceive as an internal aversive stimuli that's then associated with the worm and as a result avoids worms in the future. Would that be considered a form of aversive punishment (possibly unconsciously self-imposed) because the approach behavior was lessened by the introduction of the aversive stimuli of fear? And if the person continued to react in fear whenever a worm was experienced, either physically or even just the mention of one, and thus continued to avoid them because of the fear, would that then be negative reinforcement because theyre avoiding the worm to take away to aversive stimuli? If you made it through those two long questions, I thank you! 😅

Do you have any worries that this deck is not the best for psch/soc? I sort of feel like it might be lacking, but I don't really have a background in psch/soc to know for sure. Or the MCAT experience to know either lol. I suppose we'll find out once we start taking AAMC FLs.

@@codyellsworth7927 so far I've done the khan academy videos for psych soc and this covers most of it, it does get into some ideas that aren't in khan academy; i've taken 1 FL test and there are theory questions, so I think its helpful at least in that regard. I don't think MCAT tests specifically names and stuff tho
