I think in next year's mega auction GT will go after Abhishek Porel. GT will release Wriddhiman Saha so they'll need an Indian keeper, also Porel and Gill can open the innings with Sai Sudarshan at no. 3 maintaing the left-right combination in the batting order. DC will also try to buy him back because they've groomed him but if a bidding war starts then they'll pull out of it. I think GT will be more desperate than DC. Few other teams will also be interested in the services of Porel so all in all it's been a good season for the young keeper-batter from Bengal. I'm happy for him.

I don't think unsuccessful franchises like PBKS, LSG and GT will agree to have so many retentions because they'll like to release more players and build a new core group so they'll want more number of players to go in the mega auction. I think 5-6 players will be the maximum permitted number. Let's see what happens.

Delhi Capitals had a mixed season. In all honesty, they did better overall than what I thought they would, but the Ind bowling stepped up and JFM and Stubbs, with a few contributions from Porel and Pant shored up the batting. But in crucial matches they made stupid decisions at the toss, fielded poorly, bowled and batted immaturely, and the seniors like Warner, Marsh, and Nortje were duds.
