PHENOM...LOVE LOVE LOVE

I grew up just 15 minutes from Nelsonville. I spent most of my time in the Monongahela forest, climbing, kayaking, backpacking, and caving. This music brings me home.

I'm so glad the camera showed a close-up of the violinist. You see, i didn't know I was supposed to look at the violinist, so that close-up was really helpful to me.

I attended this set and her full show earlier in the day. In the earlier show, I was startled to find tears flowing down my cheeks while listening to her beautiful wordless songs. Embarrassed, I put on my sunglasses and looked around and found most of the folks beside me had tears also. The emotion was refreshing. I attended this set to see if the effect was a repeatable. When she stated in the interview she was exploring catharsis, it confirms that the effect was by design. I would love to see her again.

I can't believe it. The camera operator actually showed one shot of all the musicians together. Now get back to work chopping up the band, and chopping the people up so you only show their heads. For god's sake cut out Ms. Ferrell's legs when she sings, so that we can't see her dancing to the music. Chop, Chop, Chop, chop the performance into pieces and close-up; don't let us see whole people and a whole band. And be sure not to let us make our own choices of who we want to look at--please make those choices for us.
