Very nice build. I have never seen a tank in 1/56 scale before, usually I only see 1/35 and 1/48, unless dropping all the way down to 1/72. Interesting for sure.

What color did you use for the green ?
@EventHorizonModels13 күн бұрын
For the base coat I used Tamiya XF-62 Olive Drab plus a few drops of Tamiya Khaki Drab, the highlights I added consecutive drops of Tamiya XF-60 Dark Yellow for a few highlight coats. Cheers

Great bird, under 20,000 ft the Folke Wulf ruled. 2/20mm in each wing and 17mm on each side of the engine. Firepower was awesome and a great gun platform.

Thanks for the demonstration. Really like military weathering technique!! Did you apply vanish between washing, clipping, oil paint filtering, etc.?

Hi there - loved the Votoms builds on your channel but, cockpit aside, was disappointed with the painting of this one. The partial painting over the coloured plastic just left the model looking toy-like. Sorry and hope you're ok with some criticism. In terms of redemption, some more Japanese scifi builds (or perhaps a Warhammer 40k vehicle?) should suffice!!
@jeffholt94379 ай бұрын
Having a bit of a mini Votoms revival and came across your video series - excellent build sir - I shall be going straight to the loft stash!!! In addition to the dirt step at the end, I especially liked your application of the brown wash on the blue armour which gave the model more scale and age. Interestingly that you don't seem to seal each weathering step (with varnish) before moving on to the next?

Great airbrush work! Those N1K1s were finished in dark green over natural metal undersides - though some subassemblies such as engine cowlings and underwing cannon pods were painted light gray. Most had the upper wing and fuselage hinomarus with the white border. Excellent model!

I get excellent results with chrome powder applied by brush to various worn areas. Also, use a tough made for plastic aluminum base core, apply acrylic paints for camouflage and sand lightly worn areas. Aluminum base core gets exposed very nicely!

greating's from another canuck. i have this kit to build not sure that i can duplicate your paint technique but i'm going to give it a try. What needle size did you use in your air brush, and is 18 psi your norm. Thanks Allan from Oshawa.

Hi Allan, I use an Iwata HP-C which I believe comes with a .3 needle. Enjoy your 190, and thank you for your comment. Cheers
